For those of you who have heard of the GP32, this is its successor.

I knew this was coming, but just checked it out the other day. I have to say, this is one sweet looking device. It looks as if GamePark looked at how it's customers were using the GP32, and designed thier new device in that fashion.

I'll definately be getting one. Either when the price drops a little, or when the white version is confirmed.

Ever since the first E3 where Gamepark announced a US launch which never materialized, I have gotten the impression that this is really just a pirate console that happens to have some financial support behind it. Even the European launch got scrapped. The games are all Korean language and most of them are blatant rip-offs of other games. I know there is a vibrant emulator scene, but that just sort of reinforces the perception that this is a pirate system in my mind. Didn't Gamepark also split in half and aren't there going to be two new systems released shortly?

I will considering purchasing this. It looks like an interesting portable and if it has any type of scheduling/contacts software available, it will make the console even more appealing.

www.gp32z.com will also be selling them and at a cheaper price if you live in the US. Gamepark did have a semi-launch in Europe btw. If you know me then you know I am pretty much interested in all handhelds.

I think it was only launched really in Spain as far as I know.

Well, yes, there were a few "official" distributors selected, but as far as I know, none of the games were ever released in European versions. In fact, the only GP32 item I am aware of that was ever released in English version packaging was the unit itself. I don't really consider that a launch.
