well i picked this game up a long while ago as a joke and have finally decided to play through this turd of a game. i was just curious is there any more after the fight with black manta and how many levels are their total (there's no Gfaqs guide for it).

if any one is able to answer this for me that would be awesome. i really wanna find out how much longer i have to play through this crap tastic game.

You know, if you're aiming to both physically and mentally hurt yourself, there are far more enjoyable ways to do so than play Aquaman. Such as, self-mutilation!

I think there are 19 levels. I started playing it too. I figured that I could do a million and seven different things with my time that would be more productive.

For $5 you can get Blowout for the GameCube, which is a much better game in my opinion... It's still not great, but if it is between it and Aquaman...

funny, i had Blow out for the cube. traded it in to credit (i think i used it towards pheonix wright or we love katamari).

i kept aquaman for the novelty of such a cruddy game. WIth blow out i really wondered how they screwed up that game, it had all the elements to be good but they werent tied together too well.

I agree with that, but I guess that I found enough goodness in it to buy it twice and keep it the second time ;)

I can't come up with any reasons to keep Aquaman though. For some reason, I had the same idea as you. I played through five levels before I realized that not just was the game completely not fun, but that I had gads of games that were more worthy to play. If you have a PS2, try picking up Headhunter used (it's $4.99 at EB) and it rocks. Well worth your time, unlike Aquaman.

If you do want to finish it, like I said I do think it is 19 levels long. I remember that it was a really weird number, and I know that I got to level 5 and was thinking I had beat about 25% of it, so I think that's right.

Funny, the three reader reviews for the game over at Gamefaqs (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/review/561437.html) are all very positive.

I find it amazing that many super-hero games suck so much since you would think comic book super-heroes would be a natural for video games. And yet we get games like Aquaman, Superman 64, many Batman games (some are good, several are not) and the PS1 Fantastic Four game. I'm a big comics fan and I've actually enjoyed the Aquaman comic book over the years but even I couldn't force myself to buy his video game.

those 3 people are either one or a combination of 2 things: clinically insane or work for TDK.

the games graphics are way too dark. the gameplay and objective variety is far from anything innovative or interesting. the camera is shoddy, the fighting is basic and well.. lame.

i still am trying to fathom (haha fathom, aquaman, i made a funny) why they thought the aquaman license was perfect for the general public.

I've never played the game but I really don't think that the idea of a Aquaman game was such a terrible idea. There really aren't that many underwater other than Fishing sims and Ecco.

That game is absolutely miserable. Ign.com probably has the info you are looking for.

I bought the game when it came out thinking it was going to be a rare game. It did come out at a budget price, so TDK was not stupid. The game could be WAY better, but I have played much worse. The comic book cutscenes by far win the award of "most cheap-ass move to be cool by a developer" award. That part of the game is truly awful....

Except in Ecco, you like... you know, swim around in a meaningful fashion?

Aquaman you "swim" around in a way that completely resembles a space battle, and one you arrive, you face off in a one on one fighting mode that is only missing a floor. But you stand and fight in the same way a 'normal' would.

If you want to see it to believe it, I've got it in my trade list right now for $4 I think it is. I'd be happy to get rid of it ;)

I find it amazing that many super-hero games suck so much since you would think comic book super-heroes would be a natural for video games.

Johnny Producer is giving you a $15 million budget to make an action videogame, and you decide to do Superman. DC Comics wants $3 million in royalties to license Superman. So now you only have $12 million to make your $15 million dollar game.

Make sense?
