You should have ask for donations instead ....

alexkidd2000

How would I do that on ebay?

zerohero
10-27-2005, 01:27 AM
You really don't need ebay to do it. Just set up a a small website, use paypal for the money donations, and there ya go.

Not a bad idea. I did sorta the same thing, Anyone remember get keith out of debt auction. I had thousands of hits over the 7 days, various radio and newspaper interviews. haha. You should put Golden Palace in the title. People and Golden Palace search for stuff like auctions like yours.

Good luck! :)

Even for $45,000, putting a tattoo on your arm of a company name for the rest of your life would be pretty brutal! LOL

For $45,000 I would tattoo anything, anywhere. You could always get it removed later, anyway LOL

Well, best of luck to ya. If you had any incriminating pictures of the ex lying around, that might boost up the hits a bit. :)

Good luck with that. You could always get a loan for some of the money couldn't you?

To get the most attention, email all the radio stations and newspapers in your area the link to your auction.

Good luck with your auction.

Good luck. But one question, do you know if your town has any ordinances against silk screening the name of a company on your window? That might be considered a billboard in which case you might have problems. I know I'd be pissed if my neighbor was advertising a bussiness for the next 5 years as that would likely affect the resale value.

Any way I hope things work out for you.

I don't see this working personally. Have you thought about getting a few roommates? That's what I did, and now they pretty much cover my entire mortgage. Makes things a LOT easier, and for the most part we get along great, and even all hang out together. Roommates.com is a good place to put and ad, that's what i did. Put those spare bedrooms to good use!!

I'm not clear on why you need 45K... I mean, what is your mortgage payment per month? Seriously, I like the find a roommate idea.

The tattoo idea is probably something you'd regret later, so I'd recommend against that.

You could also find a second job.

I remember that. How much did you end up making? Did it get you out of debt?

Promoting yourself to radio stations and the like is a good idea, even if it virtually assures you of being part of the dreaded Golden Palace Freak Show.

I doubt Golden Palace Casino would pay almost $40000 for an arm tattoo. They payed a woman $10000 for a permanent forhead tattoo. So for $40000 you must probly tattoo your ass, forehead and arms hehe.
Anyway, hope you work thing out.

Heres the deal. To keep my house I would have to buy out my girlfriend. I would have to give her $40k plus all the lawyer fees and such. If I got the 40k I could keep my current mortgage and get a couple roomates. I cannot keep the house and pay her the 40k, bank won't give me the loan. I have a nice car because I thought I was in a stable relationship! Its a lease, I cant do much about it now. I was more hoping that people would donate a dollar here and there but out of the 3000 hits only 2 people have donated anything.

So in American money, that's about $20, right? I think I'll have you tattoo "digit press" on your forearm.

A fellow British Columbian. So where in BC do you live? I'm guessing the Okanagan but that's based on one photo.

Best wishes.

As someone who was in a divorce, and had the same situation, I can understand. As I said above, I got roommates. But, I also had to refinance the home and get my ex-wife's name off the mortgage. I can guarantee you that if you have a job, and the house has some equity since you first bought it, you can refinance it. The rate may suck-ass, but it will get it in your name, allow you to get some roommates, and then in 6 months or so refinance and get a better rate. If she is just your girlfriend, and both names are on the mortgage..well, that was dumb :)

Not sure the legal situations there, but I would think that if she left and moved out, that should mean something. Either way, I wish you luck.

She makes alot more money then I do. She is trying to buy me out and she can afford to. I on the other hand have to resort to desperate measures if I have any hope in buying her out. Bad situation... And yes I do live in the Okanagan.

Ok, if you really cared about your house you would give up your ColecoVision collection in a second. Heck, ALL YOUR VIDEOGAME STUFF for that matter.
I mean there is no way I would want to sell my NES collection, so I know how you feel!! But, unfortunately some things have to be done.
