I have an invite only (someone told him I collect games), and he got a hold of a BOATLOAD of PS2 games through a business liquidation sale/storage auction. Somewhere in range of 200-600 games along with other stuff. Yeah, I had a hard time keeping a poker face.
I have no pictures yet, but I'm going tomorrow morning, regardless. My luck it will be all dumbass titles, duplicated to the nth power!
But just in case, I really need to know what titles to grab, and which ones go high dollar on ebay to ease the cost of this pillage. I am ashamed to sell sometimes but it's the only way to get games for "free". Buy a bunch and sell a couple to cover the cost.
The guide is down so please help a brutha out before I buy stupid titles no worth playing!! thanks a bunch
Daniel

Some games that are worth money, or just rare and will be worth money in the future are

Gitaroo man
Rez
Donald duck Quack attack
Gradius 3 and 4
skygunner
tsugunai atonement
World of outlaws
Fire fighter fd 18
Futurama
Marvel vs capcom 2

Any game that says Atlus on the front of the cover is a keeper.

If you do happen to find a rez or gitaroo man let me know and i'll buy it if the price is right

The Donald Duck game mentioned above is actually Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers. I'd pass it up and not even check for it, as it's not worth much and I see it often. It's one of those games that might be slightly more difficult to find down the road, but it won't command a lot of money. Bids on the game on eBay have topped at $6 or so.

Anyhow. The only games I suggest you look for in addition to those listed above(which is a pretty concise list):

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II. It's come on lately as difficult to find-EB has it listed for $39.99, and eBay bids are well over $25, which is surprising for a game that's been out for close to two years.

Micro Machines. This will be rare one day, mark my words.

No, it's Donald duck quack attack. Goin Quackers is for ps1. Quack attack was a game reseased in the first wave of ps2 games

There is only 1 on ebay right now and it's PAL. There is a ps1 version also.

Donald Duck: Goin Quackers is a US title, there is no Quack Attack US title. Goin Quackers was released for both the PSOne, PS2 and Dreamcast.

I hope that Gitaroo Man (PAL-release) will become also a rarity.....I have a factory sealed one.

I think also that Glass Rose (Capcom) will become a rarity. Don't know if it is the same title in the US....???

Guitaroo Man and Rez, I think are the most rare and expensive Ps2 games. $70 is considered a cheap price. :eek 2:

at the time i had a couple of bucks going for some NES games and would have come back and got them later but if i had known it was so hard to find i would have bought them then and there instead

Nope, I think (I know) that the most expensive and rarest PS2 game is Polaroid Pete (pal)

"Rare" and "expensive" are two seperate things. Yes, those two games are probably amongst the most in-demand (and thus expensive) titles, but I'm willing to bet there are other little-known titles that are much harder to find, but because they're a) unknown b) not in demand and c) possibly crap games, they will be a lot cheaper when they do appear.

And that would be PK: Out of the Shadows. They were talking about the UK version of Donald Ducks' Goin' Quackers which is named Quack Attack, which was a launch title in both the US/UK (well close to it thats for sure).
