I ran across a copy of the very HTF Cubivore for GCN at a local gamestore with a $40 used price sticker on it. I started to grab it since I have been trying to find a copy for some time. The thing is that this copy is TOTALLY flawless. I mean it looks like the shrink wrap was just taken off of it. All the manual pages are crisp and the disk is flawless. Even the plastic sleeve on the outside case looks new. Plus, all the inserts are there. I was just wondering if anyone knows if it may have been reprinted or reissued by Atlus. I caught wind of a rumor on the CAG forum that it may have, and this copy I found just looks too new. Anyone know?

I found a used copy of Cubivore at my GameStop for $40. For some reason they seem to be becoming more common. I would have bought it, but I didn't have enough cash on me at the time :(

eBay seems to be having around 20 copies at any given time...just a month ago the average was less than 10.

sounds like what they did with Persona 2 and Rhapsody.

and just like when I saw the recently reissued Persona 2 in pristine condition, I fucking bought Cubivore today. I've been looking for it long enough that $40 for a damn nice copy in my hands at that very second wasn't even a debatable topic. I was buying it and the only question was what were the other two games I was going to get (ended up being Phantom Crash and Crimson Skies).

Let's hope the game is fun!

How do you tell the difference between the reissued game and the old..?
Is there anything that says reissued... or a noticeable difference on the case.(a date that they were reissued0

The copy I have of CUBIVORE looks identical to the copy roushimsx has,pictured-posted in Weekend Finds.

But I found it used in GAMESTOP back on 11-20-04 for $19.99
It wasn't shrinkwrapped,..It's missing the manual,...has fine "usage-"scratches on the disc.(looks used)
It came with the Nintendo Gamecube White manual.
The case is Gamecube but has that sticky residue Crap!! on it..

So is it possible I got a reissued game too..?

I dont think that there was a re-release... Just because some new copies are showing up does not make an instant re-release. Stock that didnt move before and was just bought out by a place like EB or GS happens pretty regularly and they will mark it as to what the market demands. They did this a while back with PS games and even though they were brand new, they were opened and sold as used.

I don't think so videogamedaryll. It sounds like you found a regular used copy.

They released old stock...... do a search in the Buy/Sell forum, you'll see the threads.

Not sure about a rerelease, but they recently bumped the price. I got it in June or July for $19.99 at GS.

I already have a copy, but It's great if it was re-released. It's an excellent and unique game with a great art style. It's easily worth the $40.

I found 2 copies new/shrinkwrapped about 6 months ago in Houston. Saw another 3 in the new Fry's in Sugar Land.

Course, that Fry's also had several new copies of Disgaea, FD18, etc. Alas, no Rez/Gitaroo Man. Shows you what's hiding in warehouses sometimes.
