View Full Version : wtf? pornographic atari games?

So a friend and I were browsing through my Atari rom list and trying out all the weird games (the kool aid man game was the best by far--nothing beats the atari version of him busting through a wall.)

We came across a few curiously titled games. I can only remember 2 right now-- Bachelor Party and Bachelorette Party. basically, each game was the same-- there was a line of guys and girls, and some beeping. We never figured out how to play it, but at some point, after you lose or win or something, the closing animations revealed some bizarre stuff-- in Bachelorette party, the guys had little lines sprout from their midsections, which shot out a little white square and the girls in the other game shook their cones around LOL

these games were all made by the same company, called Play Around. I was wondering if anyone had any more info about this truly strange concept.

There's one called "X-Man", lol! You're a sex hunter looking for sex, then you need to run in a labyrinth and run away from scissors. If you do it, you get a sex with a girl, hahahaha!

lol, atari porn. what a screwed up concept. I imagine these games are impossible to find.

Custers Revenge is a classic. Horribly offensive and pornographic.

I don't think they are rare really, but complete versions(Box, Cart, Game) tend to fetch around 30-50$ a pop on Ebay. The more well-known ones always seem readily available.(Custers, Bachelor, etc..) I think it's more the demand factor that has the prices up, as opposed to the "rarity" thing. Because as someone said: Custers Revenge is a classic.

I kinda got lucky. Back when Video Game Connections had a store in Howell(In our old flea market) i picked up 3-4 of them boxed between 8-10$ a pop. Was some years ago however.

8-bit boobies would be panesian. 2600 was less than 8-bits, I think it was 4.

Nope. The 6507 was 8-bit, it just couldn't access as much memory as its big brother, the 6502.

That is a legitimate, harmless fetish, although I must concede that getting a helicopter involved is something that I don't plan on trying anytime soon.

There was also an official cart (from Fox) of the movie Porky's that had an odd version of the shower scene in it:

Local flea market guy had Porky's for $6 or so. I wouldn't buy it if he wanted a dollar but it was worth twenty.

Well, perhaps for a laugh.

I wasn't going to because I thought these games were just common knowledge to everyone.. :)

But yeah, 2600 porno = #1! :D I'd post the xman "cutscene" pics but maybe that would be going too far LOL

I dunno.. I've gotten shouted at in the past for posting the Xman pics... since it's pretty obvious what's going on (as opposed to Custer's Revenge which doesn't look like anything imho).

But you're right, I think they're hilarious LOL

The mere fact that they made a Porky's game blows my mind.

I want it. In fact, I'm going to go bid on one....success!

I blame you guys for this.

I actually played the Porkeys game a few months ago. As far as 2600 games go, it was fairly elaborate.

Nope. The 6507 was 8-bit, it just couldn't access as much memory as its big brother, the 6502.

I thought the 6507 processor (made only for he 2600, I believe) could access as much as the 6502, but just had less memory in the system. I thought it was limited in what it could access because it was only given X amount...not because the 6507 was incapable (if the memory where higher in the VCS, could the 6507 have accessed it? And I don't mean via bankswitching).

I believe the 6507 had some added opcodes and such the 6502 didn't, but I'm not sure...

11 hours until Porky's is mine!! Muuuahahahahaha!!!!

The night after I bid on it, I kept having intrusive thoughts of the word "Porky's" while at work/school. I kept having to turn my head away from my attending during lectures and explanations because I was biting my lip and trying not to bust out laughing.

This is what happens when you live alone in a strange city. Porky's becomes an obsession.

8K? I was thinking it was 4K, since that's how big banks are in the 2600 -- any 8K or larger games are bankswitched. I'm pretty sure the 6502 can address a larger memory space than the 6507, but am not 100% sure, and am too lazy (well, I AM at work here...) to research the 6502.

But also the 6507 doesn't give (receive?) any (hardware) interrupt signals as I recall, whereas the 6502 does.

4k of the VCS's memory space is dedicated to program ROM, while the other 4k is used to adress such things as RAM, the TIA, and peripherals.
