Hey all! \o/
I've been told about the game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! in Neo-Geo.com forum.
It's a music game for Nintendo DS, it was released only in Japan.
I saw some videos and I got so addicted with the video that I bought the game!
And my opinion is: BUY IT NOW!
This is the best game release 'till now for DS!
It's damn addicting! The musics, a total of 15, are great ones!
Here are some videos:
http://media.ds.ign.com/media/746/746980/vids_1.html

The game has 4 levels, the first 2 ones are available at the start. Once you beat the level 2, you get the level 3, and once you beat level 3, you get level 4. @_@
Game is hard at level 2, very hard at level 3 and impossible at level 4!
Really, it's a "MUST HAVE" for any DS owner!
It's in Japanese, but it's very intuitive. You don't need to know any Japanese (like me) to understand the storyboard.
Really, consider buying this game soon, it's hell worth it!
^_^

Is it just me or did anyone else see this thread as an eBay auction? LOL

I've heard about it, sounds interesting. I'll check it out someday.

I'm not selling it (I only own 1 copy to myself). ~_~'
Just recommending.

Cool looking game. Thanks for pointing it out. Where did you order your copy from? Since this looks like an import only title, I'd like to get it before it gets impossible to find.

Got it in eBay. Paid US$ 35,00 + shipping, sealed.

The level 4?
I'm still in the Cleopatra's music.
Hard as hell!

Hard as hell!

Yeah, with the female American cheerleaders, I think it's called insane mode. I had a tough time with Pyramid too, but just keep going.

For sure!
The numbers are almost half smaller and it's too fast!
I'm going well after all.
Hell adicting game! xD

My boyfriend saw this game and raved about it. They have screenshots in the latest EGM. I saw the pictures and read the description and I gotta try.

I love quirky Japanese games. The Japanese have all the fun! LMAO

This game is awesome! Been playing it for a while
I found your post about levels confusing - so here's my summary:

It's a Rhythm-Action game for the DS with great anime styling. Basically, you play some (kind of) cheerleaders who help out people in dire need. Eg, some kid who needs to study for his exams but his family keep making too much noise and distracting him, or the receptionist who has to get through a busy afternoon and then make out with her boss. These are the most boring and easy to explain stories, they get really crazy and wacky pretty soon.
There are 15 songs overall and a lot of them are excellent (personal fave - Over The Distance, the dead guy ghost love song story). There are 4 progressively harder difficulty settings (with different cheerleaders) which makes you keep replaying. Not only one of the best music games but some of the best stories I've experienced for a good while - and you don't even need Japanese to understand whats going on.

I think I ordered this from Yes-Asia. They do free worldwide shipping which meant it was cheaper than getting a new DS game over here. If not, Play-Asia and Lik-Sang are always good choices.

Oh yeah, I meant "difficulty level". :)
