Can't wait for Oblivion for 360?

For the first quarter ending January 31, 2006, the company now forecasts $300-$350 million in net sales and $0.04 to $0.10 in diluted net income per share. The primary reason for the adjustment is due to a delay to one of Take-Two's biggest titles for the quarter: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PC and Xbox 360. Those games have now been pushed back to the February-April 2006 quarter. The title had been originally slated to be the sole Xbox 360 role-playing game when the console went on sale November 22.

I still want a 360 at launch, but this sucks. I knew it was going to be pushed into December, but Februrary at the earliest? That blows :(

I'm not surprised. I don't plan on getting a XBox 360 at launch, but I was eagerly awaiting Oblivion for the PC, since I now have a video card that can display it in loving detail. I was really a big fan of Morrowind -- still am, since I pick it up and play it again from time to time, and back when it originaly came out I lost about six months of my life playing Morrowind and only Morrowind. LOL

But I also remember how long that Morrowind took to design and develop (three years) and how often it got delayed. So when I originaly saw it delayed from this month to early December, I was'nt the least bit surprised.

So this new delay does'nt shock me. I'd rather have a GOOD and finished product then something rushed out to match the console release, and THAT release being rushed just o have it ready for a system launch. I'm sure the game will rock when it comes out.

Oh well , that game is paid for and I guess it will be a nice suprise when it shows up in the spring and it is paid for :roll:

Well....considering that this game was the ONLY game that would make me buy a 360 at launch (the feature on the new OPM disc didn't help matters any LOL ), I guess that I can happily save my money for a bit longer and not feel bad about not having a 360 prebooked anywhere. There should be some used 360s around by the time the game is released. It's all good.

I'd say that you'll probably need a P4 3.0+Ghz or Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB or more of ram, and a GF6800 or ATI Radeon x800 series to run it respectably at 1280x1024, with high detail settings. This is just a guess from looking at the movies and screenshots, and comparing performance to stuff like FEAR and Quake4.

The graphics on this one look amazing, but I never played Morrowind. One of these days I guess I'll get around to it, but I was just so burnt out after the demolition derby crash-fest that was Daggerfall :\

i went to gamestop the other day and they just printed out a new release sheet and it only said early december for this.

are they slow or did the game really not get pushed back?i hope its the later but i am not so sure.
