"BusinessWeek" : "In the future, what do you think video games will be like ?"

Shigeru Miyamoto : "It's convenient to make games that are played on TVs.
But I always wanted to have a custom-sized screen that wasn't the typical four-cornered CRT.
I've always thought that games'd eventually break free of the confines of a TV screen to fill an entire room.But I would rather not say anything more about that ...."[Emphasis Mine]

I love nintendo to death, but business week mag can suck it. I didn't hear them saying that 5 years ago, and I don't remember them saying that with the NES or SNES. So who cares what they think.

The title of this post reminded me of Slimer and the REAL Ghostbusters. LOL x_x




Gotta throw in my 2 cents:


Nintendo is always coming up with things, so I don't know if it's real or not. It's probably a LONG term goal though. Much like the stuff with the new Revolution controller.

Talking about that, These ideas both tie together the interactivity of gaming. What exactly would that be in the future or even in the next generation of systems?

I know I don't normally play with a zapper or anything on my old consoles, so would I want to jump around in virtual reality? I just recently got into Dance Dance Revolution, so maybe I could see it now, but a few months ago I don't think so.

So long as Nintendo keeps in mind the individual as opposed to a group, and making sure that third party companies are on the same page, I'm sure it'll be okay.
