Kind of a silly question; and I think I may already know the answer..

But does anyone know if PAL games will play on a "hard modded" (as in "chipped") domestic Saturn? I know a mod chip will allow the playing of JAP games and CD-Rs; and it will probably let you even load up a PAL game since there's no more region check.. but how does the graphics output look on a regular US TV?

Thanks to all for your time & attention.

No, PAL games won't play on a chipped US Saturn.

The modchip lets you play copied games, the country code is still read on the disc.

If you want to play JAP and Euro/PAL games on your chipped US Saturn you would need an Action Replay (easist method) or to fit a region switch.

The graphics should look fine on your US TV in PAL.. if you had an action replay though, then you'd be running in 60hz, so the picture should be fine..

However a few PAL games have problems running at 60Hz, but only the PAL optimised ones such as Sonic R...

Hope this helps.
