I've got an older/bigger PS2 that has issues with the PS2 format games. Plays audio cds, dvds and dvd games just fine. Comes with all nececary cords, as well as the box with all the docs in it, and a controller. If you know how to fix such a thing, or if you dont care about older PS2 games, this is perfect for you. I opened this, so it is a VOID unit.

Also for sale, I've got a network adaptor. Works fine, comes with the disc so you can actually use it.

Taking offers on the PS2
$15 for the Network Adaptor
Plus shipping, of course. You want both of them, shipping will obviously be cheaper

Well, if you read what I wrote, I said that it dosn't play PS2 format games. Its a version 7 or 8, the only way to tell the difference is to open it up, and I really dont feel like doing that again.

well using this (http://www.videogamerepair.com/ps2_version_id.htm) you can get an approximate version

and not being able to read older PS2 games is pretty vague...i am guessing you mean blue cd-rom discs

Yes, I do mean blue-bottoms. I figured that was commonly refered to as ps2-format, but if it isn't, then I apologize

Version 7- SCPH 39001
USA - NO true way to identify your unit until you physically open your ps2. If and when you have opened your PS2, the motherboard will read off GH-017

Version 8 - SCPH 39001
USA - NO true way to identify your unit until you physically open your ps2. If and when you have opened your PS2, the motherboard will read off GH-022
Thats where I looked before, so thats my answer.

The network adapter still available? I'll take it if it is.

If anybody can tell me if this might play Ghost in the Shell:SAC and how it MAY be able to be fixed,I would proably look into taking it all. BTW, I am NOT saying that this is an offer to buy, just a comment and a note that I am considering making an offer if no one else gets it first, my father wants a PS2 just for the one prementioned game and I have been asigned to find him a good PS2 at a certin price point and ect.

BTW, does it still play PS1 game all right?

Well, I've pretty much got a deal sealed, but to answer your questions anyways.

No, I'm pretty sure it wont play PS1 games, but I'm not 100% on that because I didn't bother trying.

With a little research, I found that the game you mentioned is a DVD format, so if you come across a PS2 with a similar 'no blue bottom' problem, you'll be able to play it no problem. Good luck.
