Does entering a contest to win one count as pre-ordering it? LOL If so, I am there, if not...well, no. I was checking on a game at Amazon.com that I saw them doing a G4 show on...Gun. This is a western which looks interesting. It's available on all systems but the XBox360 version is $10 more than the others. Is this going to be the normal pricing policy? If so, my interest level has gone down even further than it was.

M$ told us our allocations have been cut in half and were not getting as many as they originially told us. So If you havn't checked since after thur (when we found out) Id check again. It sucks a lot. The store I primarilly works for has the most pre-orders in the district

Thanks for the info. With that tib bit of info, Im trekking my way to my EB and seeing if I got pushed. Hopefully not. This is just another way for M$ to create artifical demand in my opinion.

I got the $400 bundle reserved at Gamerush. Don't have any games pre-ordered yet but I'll probably get up Perfect Dark when I pick it up on the 22nd.

I have mine reserved at GameCrazy...they seem to have their shipment/allotment as it should be (i.e. no shortages, etc.) Barring some sort of serious issue, I'm picking mine up at midnight on the 22nd, and then it's off to Best Buy in the morning for games, controllers, etc. I'm hoping to pick up Perfect Dark, DOA4, PGR3, Condemned, Madden, Kameo and THAW. Hopefully no plans will need to change.

Heck, I've seen people pay big bucks in the past for just the boxes of systems...I remember one auction of just a PHOTO of a system and it went for hundreds of bucks! Lots of idiots just don't pay attention to any write-ups...either that or they're money-tossing morons.

Well, what do you know...I called GameCrazy and their shipment was cut off. They're getting 2 per day after that, and at some point one will trickle down to me...hopefully. I honestly can't believe this...I understand wanting to create hype, but intentionally causing a shortage that screws people out of something they were GUARANTEED by retailers shouldn't be acceptable.

I pre-ordered mine about a week after they introduced it on MTV. And I'm getting mine through GameStop. I still haven't heard on when I'll get it, though. Because they supposedly had alot of pre-orders before it was introduced. I probably won't get mine until close to Xmas.

I had to go back and change my order when they announced the platinum/core editions would be different from one another. Of course, I ordered the Platinum.

Of course of the 3 games I pre-ordered (Full Auto, Gears of War, and PGR3) only 1 is coming out on release day. I was so looking forward to kicking ass on Gears of War after I tore open my 360. But I can handle waiting a few months.

I'm trying not to get one. I really really shouldn't. So I'm trying to avoid it long enough that they sell out everywhere (Not every store does pre-orders. So it is possible for me to find one if I want to... which is what scares me.) so I have to wait. I'm hoping to wait long enough for a price drop on at least the games. For one thing, $60 for a game is bullshit. I didn't even pay that much for Donkey Konga. Bullshit I say. BULLSHIT. :angry: This is going back in time. We have to move forward! Not backward! Upward! As someone who put down $50 for a PS2 Pre-rder in 2000, sold it to a cow orker for $75 and never regretted it (Especially now, 5 years later after all the PS2 problems and complaints.) I'm actually tempted to buy one just to sell on eBay and make a 110% profit.

I just found out that my local gamecrazy, where I pre-ordered my 360 is only getting 16 systems on launch day. So even though I preordered mine way back in , if I remember correctly May 30th, I may not get one on launch day.

Agreed on both counts. I called their sales line and they told me that:

a) They can't sell it to me over the phone. Only over the net via the link.

b) They are doing a computer upgrade right now, so that's we we are getting errors.

At this point, I burst into laughter and told the lady that I found it pretty funny that they would tell their customers to login at a specific time for a major event like this, only to do a computer upgrade during the same time. She didn't seem to find the humor or the irony in the situation and just read her card about "trying again later".

Did you try to get it anyway? Somewhere on the site it mentioned that you should still order even if it said "sold out". Go ahead and try it.

I think the suggestion of doing it anyway applied to messages you got while checking out. The 'sold out' screen I got had removed all the order bundles and such, saying "come to your local store on the 22nd". It even took the bundle I was ordering out of my cart...as far as I can tell, it's gone for good. The online store is down at the moment anyway, but I'll give it another try later on.

Congrats on getting in, though...here's hoping they actually send it out on the 22nd. :P
