Sick or not, you obviously never checked out eBay the week of Sept 12-19, 2001. Ugh. It was enough to turn your stomache.

This guy has 700 auctions for Space Shuttle pictures of the Columbia that he downloaded for free from NASA, AND has the balls to say in his auctions:'

"You should BUY NOW, as this sale will undoubtedly be ended promptly by eBay."

Also, as I mentioned on another forum, at 10:00AM EST there were 800 hits for the words "space shuttle" on eBay. As of 8:00pm EST there are over 2000! >:( They are vultures!!! >:(

Come on guys, starting buying these and leaving negs. Not only does it get this idiot off E-bay, he'll have to pay for this. I'm normally not one to be in this type of immature prank, but people like this deserve it.

I watched it happen. First all his auctions were yanked, then he was NARUed. One down, thousands to go....

But do you think that he really posted that stuff up for sale himself or was his account hijacked? After all look at his feedback and the kinds of items he was selling up to recently. If it was him I don't know what he was thinking.

Which is worse- The person putting the debris auction up or the fools who search for it? To top it all off are the ass wipes who really want to buy this stuff and place "legit" bids hoping to really win! Don't even do a search for these types of "banned" auctions. This is one of the few times I'm glad Ebay is on top of the "censoring" job that they are famous for.

This guy used "Columbia debris" in his title to sell something else.

If there was nobody who wanted to buy this stuff then nobody would bother selling it. Which isn't to say the blood sucking sellers are blameless, but I have less respect for our society which wants the stuff in the first place.

I'm surprised somebody hasn't tried hawking Activision's Space Shuttle game lately.

Hi everyone. I listed the space shuttle game, but I'm not tring to make more off it from the crash. I have been slowly listing my games up for sale, and it was in the last box that I opened. I know I'll probably get some bad feedback on this, but I have to sale all my games. I have a shuttle oribital somewhere in these boxes, that has to go up for sale, so not everyone that list stuff like this is bad and tring to make money off it.

Hm.. Well, he's no longer a registered user, but why would they bother to go thru and remove all the negs that people left him if they were gonna do that?

What's wrong with making a website a tribute to the tragedy?...unless they are trying to make money off of it, its a GOOD thing.

That first website didn't work, but www.remembercolumbia.com seemed like a fitting tribute.

*shudder*

I just looked through some of the post on the eBay Columbia forums. Jeez, there is a lot of bible thumping, name calling, tattle-tellers and somewhat "tame" flaming--but it still would make our Battlezone look like a cakewalk.

Edit: I think someone's been leaving their caplocks on again.

The people selling Shuttle stuff on ebay have more than just a few negs, or even radiation poisoning to worry about--the feds are after them in a big way. They won't be going to some minimum security resort, either. How does a $250,000 fine or 10 years in a federal "pound-me-in-the-ass" prison sound? >)
