Im sure some people will. Someone that has deep pockets. But, the majority of the peeps on here are tightwads like myself and rarely pay the full retail price

There are people out there that definitely will do this. The last time I made the attempt to collect every game that came out was when the Genesis was released. I remember hitting TRU, Kay-Bee, and many other stores...checking their lineup for anything I didn't have. If I found anything, even the crappiest game, I bought it. Or I should say my well-to-do grandmother bought it.
Then, years went buy, I stopped being a selfish kid, started working, and became very selective on what I did buy. Nowadays, I make decent money. I probably CAN buy every game as they come out and continue to do so at least until dozens are hitting the shelves a month. But, I'll never do that personally.

I'd love to have the funds to attempt such a thing, hell for any recent console, let alone the 360. Then again, I dont know if I could stomach paying top dollar for some games that I know are shit (imagine buying aquaman, driv3r or any other stinkers for full price, knowing damn well how bad they will be) and would probably go to the bargin bin if I wait it out. So many other things/people the money could be better spent on.
Theres no point why collect for a system whos value will sink like a stone. If you've just won the lotto and are insane this may be an option for you but for everyone else it the stupidest thing I've every heard.

I would think a better thing to collect would be 360 faceplates. I'm sure there will be a ton of special ones released. It should be cheaper (unless you get them from eBay) and probably far more interesting.

Wait for a price drop on the games and maybe attempt to collect, but to pay 60 bucks a pop @_@
No thank you. I am happy with the games I have pre ordered.

Does anyone know the logical reason to make the next generation of games $60? Especially in a gas crisis? In the middle of a slump? When people are low on money? Is Microsoft really that stupid? Don't answer that. I just answered my own question. Money grubbing sons of bitches.

The logical reason to make the next generation of games cost more is that more development is going into them.
And I don't know where you live, but gas is cheaper here than before the hurricane season began. I think the gas crisis might be over.

Gas varies from season to season. Right now it's hitting the winter low.
Game on the other hand vary based on cost. When the parts were high and developement was cheap, games were expensive. Now parts are cheap and development is reasonable so games are reasonable. In the next gen however, development will be expensive (although i prefer to side with Mark Rien on this issue) so naturally the games will go up.
It's all just normal business.
