In the last days before the 360 is unleashed amped news has decided to do a retrospecitive on the 360.

They're both interesting read and definitely worth a read. I'd love the here what you think about the successes and failures.
The only one i sort of dispute is calling the Rare purchase a failure. For the Xbox i guess it was, but that company is gonna do wonders for the 360. Kind of an "'eventually' good move" situation.

Doubt it. Rare's been sitting on its ass for the last 3 years. Doing nothing - no reason to think it will change.
Hey! Didn't know Japanese boxes scratched discs! No wonder the Xbox failed - "typical American junk" - was running through Japan's minds.

#5 - lack of variety - is the reason the Xbox bored me. I grew tired of FPS games. I prefer a wide variety of styles like PS2 and Cube offers.

as far as the failures article goes i can agree that #1 and #4 were certainly disapointments for me. I was hopeing rare would knock our socks off and that the xbox would get some japanese RPGs.
I didnt realize that the xbox did so poorly in japan - i knew it did bad but not that bad - i thought it was slowly gaining acceptance month to month

Prior to seeing that clip i would've agreed with you now, i don't know. Something tells me that right from the start Rare's goal was games for the 360 and not for the XBOX.

Yep. Righto. Sure. Perfect Dark should change to "Real Soon Now - Year 4"
When it hits the shelves then I'll rejoice. Rare released only 3 games - 2 if you eliminate the simple N64-to-XBX port - during the 2001-05 generation & doubt they'll do better in the 2006-10 generation.

Quite the cynic aren't we? Kameo is already shipping to stores and PDZ should be in stock this week. Doesn't look you'll have to wait long.
