I have and I think it's alright....
Found it at best buy in the city for $230, after writing it off as a business expense. I proceeded to pop it open and plug it in for my movie, music alright and to test fastloader hahahahaha needs.
nothing wrong with the hard drive portion, it worked perfectly, the load times are slightly slower than the memory stick, but faster than umd.
my complaints was really the physical attributes of the unit
inititially I saw that with the battery and the hd put in you'd have hand grips for your psp...which didn't bother me.
but for some strange reason the "grip" on the memory stick side was very loose those making it a bit awkward (I pray it is only an isolated incident...but none the less slightly annoyed). A hilarious irony is that while in 1 screw hole it was completely loose...the other one was complete tight...forcing me to pry it out and praying I didn't rip it apart and fling my psp to the floor at mach speeds.
also the cable that connects the drive to MS slot is flexible a little too fexible...I can totally see myself breaking it.
the battery...didn't test it. but the grip on that side feels like it's a natural extension of the system (but then it uses the existing battery cover to snap in...unlike the other side which uses two screw holes to "secure" itself)
generally it's a pretty decent product...if you really want the space and not like switching back and forth...I'd say go for it...but as for me I might look out for cheap 2 gb sticks.
