I can't find any other threads about this, so if there are, sorry for starting a new one...

Just wondering if anyone else has any more information about this package? It seems that the game will be the same (unlike the Nintendogs one) and the DS will be red and you'll get two styluses, but that is all that I can find. Anything else? Mario Kart won't be special in any way, will it?

Right now, I am planning on purchasing it shortly after it is released on the 28th. Nintendo made me bite the bullet with my first GameCube last Christmas thanks to Mario Kart being a pack in there (and a free second controller and memory card helped a lot too), and it looks like it will happen again this year :)

I am really considering picking up this bundle - but not until the 28th? Not sure I can wait that long for Mario Kart :)

I believe that the entire DS is not red, just the top half, ala the electric blue DS. The bottom half should be dark gray.

Also, if history repeats itself, Mario Kart will come in a Paper Sleeve.

This will be the bundle I buy. Thanks for starting this thread, goatdan, I was beginning to think that the bundle was only a rumor.

No problem. I had a lot of interest in it myself, and I was pretty surprised that I never remembered seeing it brought up, especially because the Nintendogs packages were chatted about quite a bit.

Is the red DS going to be a 'limited' release? Or will it become a standard? (And I fully realize that anything Nintendo 'limits' doesn't mean anything -- IE Platnium GameCubes.)

I think this may be the bundle that gets me to buy a DS.

Do you think Nintendo will ever make a DS with a brighter screen?

yes, it will be so bright that you have to wear sunglasses to play the little fucker.

is this going to be limited or just a new color?

I'd like to know that myself. Although, as I pointed out before, Nintendo's "Limited Editions" (*cough* Platnium GameCubes *cough*) aren't really limited usually. The NES GBA was one of the few exceptions...
