Sorry if this is the wrong place to post it (feel free to move it if it is), but I need a broadband adapter for the dreamcast and I'm noticing prices up to $150. I nearly shit my pants when I saw it and am wondering if this is a regular price, and, if not, how much should I be able to get it for? If you're selling one, now is the time to speak up. =P

It all depends. Usually no one will let it go for less then $100.

That is a regular price. It is caused by the need to have one if you are interested in programming for the Dreamcast, as it seems many people are.

Not sure how much of the demand is driven by the fan-made PSO servers, but that's the reason I've been looking for one.

The price has been steadily rising for the past 3 years, and I highly doubt that it will go down.

That being said, if anyone has the BBA box and docs they want to sell, shoot me a PM 8-)

always watch out on eBay...
from memory there was one sold at aournd $67 not so long ago...

funny though as I sold my loose one for over $179 or there about some six months ago...

basically the price is all over the place but +/- $100 seems to be going rate...

What are you doing that you NEED a BBA anyways? Pretty much all the stuff that can still be done with a BBA can be done other ways as far as I know (albeit sometimes more slowly).

Yes, they can. However, not to the point that it's worth getting unless, you're a collector

Or a coder.

Or a Phantasy Star Online player.

There are definitely other reasons. I don't think that the collector's market is driving this price so high.

I'm using it partially so I can burn dreamcast discs (as opposed to having to download games I already own), and so I can play on unofficial PSO servers.

I'm offering up $125 USD for anyone who has this.
