What's the deal with Spy. vs. Spy for the PS2? Did the game get released or not? According to gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/spyvsspy/index.html?q=spy%20vs%20spy) for example is it canceled. Also i read this:

The release of this game for PS2 was cancelled because the makers reached an exclusive agreement with x-box; however some PS2 versions appeared in the market.

Was it only canceled in America or in Europe too? I have seen an occasional PAL version but i would say the game is pretty hard to find...

It is out in Europe on the PS2, but I bought the Xbox version (it was cheap).

Same thing happened for Dragon's Lair 3D for PS2. Released in US for Xbox and Gamecube, but only Europe saw a PS2 release.

Not to mention Sonic Gems Collection. That was released on the PS2 in Europe, but not elsewhere.

It is weird how they do these things - there must be some common sense behind their choices, but I just can't see it!

Possible that budget game releases sell higher in Europe/Australia. There are several budget publishers based in Europe, and Game prices are steeper, so perhaps publishers are more comfortable releasing budget titles on PS2 in PAL regions than the US.

Just a guess of course.

I've seen tons of this game in local UK supermarkets.
