I know that Dreamcast and Xbox can do VGA natively. I just saw a cable for cube VGA that says it works with N64 and SNES as well. Is that real VGA, or just converted somehow?

And for that matter, what about other machines, like say, the Saturn? I'm going to be moving into a new room soon and the only display I'll be taking with is a monitor, so I was thinking DC and xbox...but if there are more options it'd be nice to know.

The VGA cable I made fir my cube only works with games that support progressive scan. It will not work with an n64 or snes cause it uses the digital port on the cube which isn't on the newer cubes.

The SNES can do VGA, but you need a CRT that can handle the lower display frequency used by the SNES. Most common CRTs can't sync with the frequency.
