Whatever happened to this game?

I have a old Capcom catalog that lists this game as a PS2 title but I'd never heard anything of it otherwise. It sounds like its a discovery game kind of lilke Seven Cities of Gold which I used to love onmy Apple II

Here's (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/puzzle/catan/screenindex.html) some pictures of it on Gamspot from 2002. I see something about it being released for free as a pay for play online game in Japan but I don't see anything about a US release.

I think it got ported to N Gage :D

Looks like it is based on the boardgame "Settlers of Catan" which is pretty darn fun.

Yeah its a great game. I have it on my N-Gage and I would love to have it on my PS2 if its out there. I'll say though if you haven't played the board game its based on the learning curve is a little steap. It took me a couple of online flash tutorials to figure out how to play. I don't know what happened to the PS2 version but the N-Gage version is the only Capcom game on the N-Gage.

ps: you have an extra "n" in Catan
