Milwaukee Super Auctions. I've been to the last 3. This time things just seemed to be going for insanely cheap. At least compared to prices at the last few. Several Ms. Pacmans going for less than 500, many dedicated. I think one was even less than 400. Galaga for between 400-500, if I remember right. Seems like they usually go for almost double this. A really nice Dig Dug even went for around 300. I got these:

Crystal Castles: $125. I actually thought it was dedicated before I bought it, I just didn't look that close. All the games were packed in tight, and you couldn't really see the side art. Turns out it was a missile command cab. I don't really care, it was cheap, it works great, and at least it's kind of close in shape to one of the dedicated cabs.

Roadblasters: $175. Monitor is a little wonky. Nothing that a cap kit shouldn't take care of. Works great. Doesn't have the Atari side art, but did they all have that?

Satan's Hollow: $175. Dedicated, all art, plastic stuff, controller, and everything, complete. I was really excited to get it for that price, I don't think it turns up too often. Now the shitty part is it was working at the auction. After it was moved, doesn't work. It fires up, but all that shows up on the screen is scrambled graphics. Something must of gotten bumped around. Hopefully taking everything apart and reconnecting will get it going again.

My buddy I was with got:
Arkanoid: $125. Non dedicated, but it works great.
Apb: $125. Dedicated, works great, but the monitor has some convergance problems.
Street Fighter 2 Turbo: $125. Non dedicated, but it's the bootleg/hacked "Rainbow" board, which is super fun and ridiculous to play. Machine works great.
Nba Jam Tournament Edition: $350. Dedicated 4 player version. Super, super good shape. All the artwork is complete and in great condition. May have paid a bit too much, but we really wanted this one. Totally worth the money.

All of these games are in this friend's skatepark. We're hoping to have some of them available for the public to play, if the liscensing stuff isn't too hard to take care of. Does anyone here have any experience with that? Otherwise, there's a private room that most of them are in already. Either way, it's well on it's way to being the funnest place on the planet. I have a Beast Busters and one of those english mark darts games that I'm going to move there soon. Double Dribble cab was already residing there too. And foosball.

Pictures soon.

Nope, but there was a virtua fighter 3 (total guess, i don't really remember) mini cab. No idea how much it went for.

Well, so far no improvement with Satan's Hollow. I pulled the board, reseated all the roms, re plugged in all the ribbon cables..etc..but exact same result. When it fires up it's just a screen full of rows of white wave like looking graphics sometimes mixed in with game graphics, sometimes not.

Ideas anyone?

still no luck with satan's hollow.

and as with all arcade games, more problems become apparant the more you play them

crystal castles is a finicky little bitch. to put it lightly. i'm not sure if it's a voltage problem or something like that, but sometimes it takes 10-20 tries of plugging and unplugging it to get it to start up correctly. usually it'll start, and just go in a loop of 'rebooting'. it's weird. in the config menu mode it's always stable though. weird problem.

roadblasters slowly goes out of 'alignment' as you play a level. in the beginning you go straight, but as you go through the level, the alignment goes more and more off course. then when you start a new level it's back to normal. another weird problem.

gas pedal is wonky on apb.

always something!

Satan's Hollow may have a bad "big blue" in the power brick.

eh, crap, double post. i guess i can use this to say, i reseated the roms, reflowed all the solder on the connector pins, etc..etc., and that had no result. sits on a screen with white bars when you start it up. the fix? let it sit on that screen and walk out of the room, come back and it works!

i actually was trying to look up info online for any ideas for fixes for the game, and someone mentioned that their machine will only start up after you leave it on for about 5 minutes. i guess i have that magical problem too. works great after that though.
