Please tell me there are more of us out there. I'm a fiend. I just recently bought this again, having not played it for 10 years. I love this game.

Oh yes, I remember him. The green colored bunny with red costume and big ass yellow boots. I remember I bought one of the toys where it was a spaceship, and it had a cushion attached to it.
I used to be a fan, I remember having hella fun with the game. I still have some of the toys, though I've long forgotten names, but I remember the bad guys were toads, pretty freakin cool.

I still have all the figures, just probably not complete as they are all loose. I remember having them all, except the girl bunny. My mom and I looked around everywhere for it and could never find it. I just found out a coulpe months ago that it was never US released. Who woulda thunk it?

Arcade or NES? I'm assuming the NES, but both are great games in their own right.

Bucky O'Hare is a great hidden gem. Solid gameplay and graphics on that one. Much better than the arcade game or the first NES TMNT game.

I like both the NES version and the arcade game.
I own them both. :)

The soundtrack for this game is the pinnacle of nes.

I've only played the game for around 5 minutes, but I remember loving the cartoon as a child.

Yeah, this game is one of those hazy memories of childhood. "What was that game? it had a rabbit and a cat... damn what was the name?!" That's what I thought for about 12 years ><

It's seems as if konami were on a roll at this point because Tiny Toons for the NES is probably the best mario clone with attitude with for the nes... allot of 16bit games just couldn't rekindle that gameplay magic
boh Nes rocks too!
I remember playing the arcade game at a roller rink back in middle school. I never really liked the cartoon, but the games for it were pretty rad. I just wish Mighty Max would of had the same kind of treatment.

Too bad the cartoon series only lasted one season...

No the cartoon was quite horrible actually did he have a weird fake ass auzzie accent IIRC? meh
but game was great I think at that time graphics, hardware and gameplay etc had sort of caught up with each other
so that's why we had such a good gaming run for those years imo

I used to watch the show as a kid and I have the game. Quality game that one is. Hours of fun.

My fav character was Blinky (the guy/robot you rescue in the ice level). Small but he kicks ass! And that female bunny (Jenny?) could create homing fireballs.

To the two people who might be interested in this stuff, Masato Maegawa (now CEO of Treasure) directed and co-programmed the NES version. Both the NES and the arcade dev teams included bunch of other Treasure guys, too.
The full credits are listed on SF Kosmo (http://www.classicgaming.com/sfkosmo/index.html).

Fun fact: The creator of Bucky O'Hare is insane.
Neal Adams believes that:
The earth is the center of the universe.
Tectonics is bullshit.
The earth is constantly growing.
He's also been recycling the same old tired storyline for Bucky for over a decade in different formats.
But man the NES game is great isn't it?

AHAHAHAHA
In fairness to Bucky, Adams just helped develop the series. The Bucky O'Hare franchise was actually created by Larry Hama, who’s best known for writing pretty much every issue of the '80s G.I. Joe comic. He is, as far as I know, a normal guy.
But man the NES game is great isn't it?
Quite. Some future Treasure folk worked on it.
My sister loved the Bucky O'Hare cartoon as a kid, so I'd buy the NES game just to embarrass her.

Thanks for the correction, I took it for granted he made the series since he promoted it so heavily on his website.
I knew some of the Treasure guys worked on Bucky in the back of my mind but needed the reminder.
