OK- this barely got looked at on Ebay so I'm trying it here. This is my auction verbatim:

NEVER USED, STILL BOXED store-bought analog controller. Similar to the DualShock2 in color & button layout, 6-ft cord, vibration feedback & "ridged" handgrips. The cool thing is, when playing earlier non-joystick compatible Playstation games on a PS2, the left stick can work as the D-pad, & the right stick as the shape buttons. I dont know how/why it works, it just does! This opens up a whole new way to play- revive your classics w/ analog control!***

Imagine moving/casting spells in Diablo using the sticks, finally controlling your mech a better way in Armored Core, or playing Dark Forces like a true FPS. Now you can! These games were personally tested on my 1- & 5-year old PS2s:

-Armored Core: Project Phantasma

-Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

-BRAHMA Force

-CastleVania: Symphony of the Night

-DDR Konamix (each stick works as a dance pad)

-Descent Maximum

-Diablo

-Einhander

-Hexen

-Juggernaut

-Project Overkill

-Star Wars: Dark Forces

-WipeOut XL

& MORE! No tricks, gimmicks, or special setups. My perfect [ebay] feedback rating says it all- I'm not out to cheat anyone. If you play earlier classic Playstation games on a PS2, this is for you. Of course, it also works as a normal PS2 controller!

S/H: $5 fast, reliable USPS Priority Mail. Cashier chk/money order accepted. US orders only please.

***I do not assume liability/responsibility for any damage to hardware, software, accessories, etc. while using this controller. 3rd party accessories do not always work properly w/ game consoles. However, I personally HAVE NOT experienced any such damage to my own equipment.

Oh, crap. I forgot to price it. $3, + $5 S/H, so $8 total.

I can try to put pics up Thurs/Fri. I never have used them for any ebay auctions.

Basically it's just like a regular DualShock2 (black) but the Select & Start buttons are kinda crescent-shaped, above the left & right sticks respectively, w/ the analog button & red LED indicator below them, centered between the sticks.

I just finished a game of Diablo using it- man is it sweet! It's almost as if you're physically throwing a Flame Wave spell at monsters.

There's no brand name on the packaging.

Is this a Logitech controller? I've got one for PS2 and I can use both sticks for non-analog PS1 games.

OK, a Google search led me here:

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=307522&pfp=BROWSE

I also have a pic of the pkging (toward the back) in my Room of Doom pics:

Seems to be from Hip Interactive, though the pkg doesnt indicate it, just a TX address.

In all honesty, I didnt think/know they'd still be selling them. I got mine awhile back in a rebate deal & they've gone unused since- I thought people may be interested in them.

I'll knock a coupla bucks off the base price & keep it open through the weekend if anyone still wants one.

I remember those. I think I got the rebate too from CompUSA. It was either free after rebate or close to it. I never used mine either.

Hmm. The hip gear PS2 controller w/ the mini LCD screen did the same thing w/ the left stick. I never thought to try the right stick. It is probably the same base controller.

Does it fit in your hands exactly like a Sony brand controller? I'm kinda picky about stuff like that.

Hi- thanks for your interest in my sale. The controller is quite comparable to the Sony PS2 DualShock2. You can see the button detail in the first link I posted above. The underside has subtle molded finger ridges/grips, not smooth like the Sony one.

I find it a good inexpensive satisfactory alternative to the more expensive DualShock2. It's a decent controller for a good price, whether you buy it from me or CompUSA.

I have it, but I'm not that thrilled with it, I'd take an Official Sony PS2 Controller over this anyday, but then again, that's just my opinion.

This may be true, but you're not going to find a brand new dualshock 2 for $8 anytime soon.
