Someone here at "Digital Press" -- unfortunately I can't remember his name -- was nice enough to PM me an ultracool website that specifically dealt with making a "StarFox 2" SNES gamepak, using the ROM & a cannibalized FX gamepak, with clear directions & pics.
I tried PMing him back saying that I had accidently deleted the website URL & if he could please give it to me again -- but, as of 2 weeks now, I haven't gotten a reply.
Does someone here maybe know the website I'm talking about?
Thank You In Advance!

Why was starfox 2 never released in the US? Woulda been a hit!
How is the sequel different from the first one?

Starfox 2 for SNES was never released, period. It is found in prototype form only. I think it wasnt that great in comparison to the upcoming N64 games, so they canned it...could be wrong.

I had been trying to get somebody to make this for me for a long time, but no one ever responded :)
I am horrible at soldering, and there is a chance that it was me that sent you the link.
I had been looking into doing it ever since I found out about the translation

The bast cart to use as a donor is a Winter Gold FX. It's a SFX2 chip cart with 512k of SRAM, exactly what SF2 would have used. Unfortunately, it's a PAL only release and not all that common. Failing that, use Doom as the donor cart, it's still a SFX2 chip, just no SRAM. You can use SFX1 chip games, afaik, but it'll run sloooooooooow.

Starfox 2 was also so far along that EGM even made a 4 page strategy guide for it.

Star Fox 2 is emulated terribly. It has so many additional bugs when played on an emulator. It is best to play it on a real SNES by hacking your own cart.

Yeah, they must have been gutted. Prima must have been even more pi$$ed after printing several thousand copies of the Dreamcast HalfLife strategy guide
I really like SF2, and the guys over at Aeon Genesis (http://agtp.romhack.net/) have done a great job with translating the game and removing debug mode; essentially finishing it off and making it fully playable :rocker:
The transforming Arwing is a pretty nifty addition to the gameplay. Certainly makes for an interesting variety.
