eBay Scammer misypab has changed his ebay user id to kewlkittycat. he is the biggest re-seller of nintendo games on eBay.. his other account is discountgames, where he sells all his winnings.. heres is the problem i have wih him, he SCAMS people. i just got an e-mail the other day from a very nice lady who sold him a nintendo system and 25 games (kewlkittcat won dirt cheap) he (kewlkittycat that is) e-mailed the seller saying some of the games did not work and he demanded a a partial refund or replacement games. this is just icing on the cake from an earlier post this summer (which i pasted a link for at the bottom) complaining of the same problem.. i'm sure this probably happens all the time with this joker, since he wins more than 10+ nintendo auctions everyday..and very rarely do you get a nintendo game that does not work.

how he wins auctions: he waits until the last 10 seconds to bid or he has already activated his snipe program to bid for him which you can tell when the snipe program hits due to it screwing up sometimes and dual bidding at the exact same time.

this guy is really something else and has alot of nerve to try and scam someone when he already got a great deal from them (thus him being an low life a**hole)

this jerk should be removed from ebay for his scams..

anyways, here are two links one about his scam. the other is his feedback list, check em out!!!! it's pretty sad.

his nintendo scam: (note: his old ebay id was mistypab i'm sure he changed it when he found this post about his scam)

I think the problem here is that you have no clue how ebay actually works.

It's ok to bid in the last 10 seconds of an auction and multiple bids are allowed. I know bidders who lose to snipers hate this, but a snipe can't win if you place a maximum bid higher than the sniper. So bid the maximum you think the item is worth and if the sniper outbids you in the last 10 seconds then that person valued the item more than you.

It's ok to change your ebay screen name. There are valid reasons to do this and I guess that's why ebay allows it.

It's ok to sell things you bought cheap for a profit. This applies even outside of ebay.

It's ok to demand a seller fix a problem with a transaction no matter how sweet a deal it may seem to be to you. The seller can decide whether they wish to meet the buyer's demands.

The ebay user's feedback you pointed to looks fine to me.

That thread on the other forum you pointed is not much proof of anything. It seems everyone in that thread automatically assumed that the ebayer was dishonest because the user had their feedback private. There may have been a good reason for the user to set their feedback to private at the time. Currently the ebay user's feedback is no longer private and only has 5 negatives and over 2000 positives in over 3 years. Those stats seem pretty good to me and if that ebay user actually sold anything I would buy from him/her.

Actually I was somewhat confused by your post because you go into all this information about the buying account and simply say don't buy from this other account that you have nothing to say other than don't buy from him. Kind of an unorthodox way of getting your "point" accross.

I really see no problem at all with either ebayer myself .

What's wrong with selling the items if you think they are worth more than you paid, or have the same items already? I won an auction a few months ago with NES games that I already owned, and ended up selling them on another forum for what they were worth. Does that make me a scam artist?

The feedback of this user is awesome. It says there are 5 negatives compared to the 1864 positives that this person has recieved.

If someone won one of my auctions, and I saw the items parted out, I wouldnt care, as they spent their money to get those items. Once the items are paid for, and out of my hands, it is their property to do with what they like. They could smash the item up in front of me, it wouldnt bother me, as I got paid for it, and it is now their property.

I dunno, I think this isn't nice, calling them a scam artist and all...

Ditto what number6 said.

Also ... the thread on the other message board means nothing. The guy states upfront that he sent out 50 games uncleaned and untested - so there's really no grounds for him to call someone a liar for saying some of them don't work!!

Personally, I don't understand the people who buy up every retro lot going to re-sell .. I can't see how it would make enough money to be worthwhile. There's a guy on ebay UK, alijchappel who does this for Megadrive games. But there's no reason why he shouldn't! They all go up in his store, and are practically all over-priced, and - as far as I can see - a lot of them don't sell. But that's his problem, not mine!

If it annoys you, you just have get wiser and find ways of using the intricacies of eBay to get yourself deals. Yes, there are still ways of finding bargains on ebay ... put some effort in and you'll reap the rewards.

Or just whinge about it here and sulk - but don't expect much sympathy!!

I say where there is smoke there is fire. Ebay feedback don't tell the whole story.
Countless people are terrified of neg feedback and alot of people play the I wait for you game. People should leave the feedback that is deserved regardless of the outcome.

I would think that this would warrant at least a inquiry to some of the users past auctions to see how many times
he has tried to get games replaced or parcial refunds.

If you look at his feed back one would be lead to believe he is on the up and up but I read the one gentlemans post and if what he has uncovered in his investigation is true then a serious inquiry is warranted.

Maybe the guy targets say the antique seller who normally doesn't sell games and can easily be swindled and dont put an as is disclaimer in the lot.

One fact I know of Nintendo games are some of the best quality made games in the business bar none. Come to think of it I have yet to come across 2 broken nes games at any given time and I have had hundreds come through my fingers.( I'm not talking about blowing and cleaning the contacts i'm mean broken) This includes flea market thrifts etc. I remember reading nintendos process in gameover 1 bad game defect is found then the whole lot is destroyed amazing.

If he has a pattern of trying to swindle then he needs to get the boot. I think judging by this guys volume and the electronic sniping he does he probably pays more for auctions than he expects to so he tries to get over on who he can. I personally don't believe he personally cleans and plays all the games that pass thru his hands. I bet he doesn't refund or swap games he sales. He would say the games were tested prior to shipping file a claim.

It all comes down to who is telling the truth. He has a right to snipe and resell. Just as buyers have a right to challenge a complaint.

Huh. I've bought several games from discountgames and always had a good experience with them.

If I had to gripe about anything, is they tend to be a little slow when sending your stuff out.

discountgames is actually on my favorite sellers list on Ebay.

I agree with everything you said but that. I've never fathomed a reason why private feedback is a good thing.

Probably because this user seems to complain about games not working and demanding partial refunds.

That was one of the complaints the original poster made about this ebayer.

Maybe that's the real complaint here. You may want to block kewlkittycat from bidding on your auctions, but I see no reason not to buy from the other account which is what the originator of this thread suggested.

Maybe someone left a unwarrented rude comment in your feedback that you don't want others to see? I would never recommend doing it myself since it makes people think you have something to hide.

You dont see a reason? How about buying huge lots of games from new unexperienced users or from people with %100 feedback and then threatening negatives to get partial refunds. Then not only getting the games extremely cheap, he resells them for outrageous prices. You still dont see a reason? Why do you people keep sticking up for scum like this?

I know how some of you are going to respond when you stick up for this Bozo..."well we have no proof he does any of this this"..well you are right, but we also have no proof he doesnt either. I would side with the fact that he does. 1. We have numerous complaints from people claiming him to be a scam, regardless if they are true, they are out there. 2. We know he is extremely cheap..look at his prices..I mean come on a Super Mario 2 cart for a $25 BIN and no bid option. 3. Finally and most important IMO he had private feedback for a while and changed his ebay ID. I always suspect something is up when somone does that. So quit trying to be the Erin Brockovich of Digital Press, and stop sticking up for ebay slime like this.

DO NOT BUY FROM - DISCOUNTGAMES

Dude, you already posted the exact same topic here two weeks ago.

LINK (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=73393&highlight=)

There was no need to repost this. Although I agree with your assessment of this ebayer, I am beginning to wonder about your motivation here.

I don't like the idea of him using a private f/b account purchase these games, and then try to either swap out his bad games with the good games in the auction, or simply try to get some money back. It looks like he is trying to pull a fast one here. Then he uses a separate account to sell the games, and this account does not truly reflect his f/b as his other account is private and most likely contains the majority of his negative feedback.

But I guess as a buyer it may not matter. As long as the buyer is satisfied, he doesn't care. That seems to be the majority opinion here. In fact, a few posters indicated they had good transactions with him on the buying side. I guess the only thing to do is block his buying account from any auctions you may have.

Hey Perry Mason, posting nerdy comments like that really doesn't prove your case much either.

Hey CueWarrior, don't plan on joining the Hardy Boys team just yet. Someone please take that bet.

Before you make moronic statements like that, maybe do about 3 mins of research here on digital press and you will find how incredibly wrong you are. Apparently I cant agree with anyone, especially not a new user, or else i am considered to be in an outrageous plot to fool people on a video game forum.

Wow! CueWarrior You really show how much time you have on your hands to diagnose posts on a forum to come up with outrageous plots like that. Now you just make yourself look dumb. Maybe go outside once or twice and try to enjoy life.

There is nothing with wrong with re-selling of course. Thats how all business works, buy cheap and sell high.
But if its true that he/she claims games doesnt work just to get partial refund its obviously not ok. Do you have any proof that this acctualy happend?
