Never received a paypal payment email?

Has this happened to anyone else. You either check your ebay activity and see that little "$" sign lit up to show the item is paid or checked your paypal and see that someone paid but never receive an email from paypal? This has happened a couple times but most recently it involved a pending paypal payment. I initially got the notification that they initiated the pending payment but never got an email that it cleared although when I checked my account, it was there....cleared.

I don't understand this, I mean, if my email service was not working or I had an email address on my paypal account that was not being used, it would be understandable.

Does this type of thing happen to anyone else?

this happens frequently to me: when I pay I must notify the seler that I did it. I must tell him tio check his paypal account since paypal don't send the notification.

Yeah, I always get those when I pay also. I'm talking about the emails they are supposed to send the seller notifying them that they have been paid.

Yeah, it seems to happen sporadically though; 95% of the emails come through, but it takes just one to result in a big misunderstanding - especially if you are not in the habit of checking your paypal balance everyday.

Ah ok, those I dont know about. I dont sell much on Ebay, but the times I've recived money through Paypal I have always got a mail.

Yeah, happened to me a few times. I am guessing it must be at times when their server is processing a lot of payments, a few emails slip through the cracks somewhere or something.

It's irritating, but logging in and checking through recent activity is the only way to be sure.

This is getting crazy, I am receiving only about 75% of the emails from paypal. I have had people send me payments two or three days ago and still haven't received an email. I know it's not that big of a deal if you check your account all the time but it's annoying. I am not even receiving the "receipt for your payment" emails when I pay for something or pay my ebay fees.

Is this just me? Any other people who sell a lot on ebay not getting emails lately?

I received my emails from Paypal this morning...2 days days after the fact. But I am still missing 2. Paypal must be having some technical difficulty. I didnt receive any notice about it though(and it is not posted on their site either).

It would be wise to log in to your account every so often, just to avoid any misunderstandings.

There's definitely a problem in the last few days. At my work we've received some emails 24 hours later and some not at all. It's happened a few times in the past but not as often as in the last few days. A friend of mine who also does alot of Paypal business is having the same problem.

There is a problem with paypal. Mostly due to the sober worm that is overloading email servers. I was supposed to get an invoice request. Luckily I went into my account to check for it because the email came over a day later. Before this week paypal email has been almost instantaneous.

This had never happend to me until the other day. I had been waiting for this guy to pay on ebay and I even filed a unpaid item report, he FINALLY paid but I still haven't gotten a e-mail about it. Saw it was paid on ebay then I looked in paypal and sure enough he had paid. Strange.

I just sold a bunch of stuff on eBay, and all of the confirmation e-mails (so far) have gone through instanly.

Except for one. It came the next day after the guy paid. So I haven't lost any, but it has been slow.

Same here. Paypal email notifications usually arrived in my inbox in a few minutes. This week, it's taken days to arrive. Yes, they DID get here, but days after the lil' "$" appeared on eBay and days after I checked my Paypal account to see if the money was actually there.
