I recently found an ad for the Neogeo AES.

It saysthat there are six titles availible for the Neo. Now my question is are these all launch titles? Or was this ad later in the system life when it had a couple more games?

if i remember right those 4 games were the ones offered as a free game when you bought the gold system.you got a pick of one of the four,which anyone who isnt insane would have to pick up the genius that is magician lord!im still sad they never finished the neogeo pocket sequel to that.

yeah I agree I've had some play time with all of em and Magician lord is the best of the bunch followed by NAM.

I still have a fold-out flyer somewhere for the Neo Geo AES. It only talks about the great technical facts, there isn't any game pic at all on it. Oh but it was awarded a great export product of Japan status by the Japanese Ministery for Industry. I will make some scans on monday I think to post it here, although I think it's a bit poo in advertising the product.

Hmmm....yes, I'd have to agree you need steel balls to play magician lord. Damn hard as HELL AES titles. I also kinda find the ad funny where they are throwing their 600 dollar system through a doorway. That was smart.

yea I remember those old ads from old mags in my old days :D ... now I own 2 aes systems and 30+ AES games ... used to have 5 aes systems at once crazy me LOL ... and have about 25 MVS games as well ! :D collecting Neo Geo can be expensive but if you have the patience and know where to look you will come across good deals !!! :D

I love SNK, but am I the only one who finds it ironic that the most expensive system had the cheapest looking advertising? I mean Sega and Nintendo turned out some classics. Maybe NEC did worse, but man SNK had some stinkers.

You're nothing but a weenie if you play those other systems, but if you play Neo Geo, then you're a weenie with ketchup, relish, tomatoes, little stringy things, mustard and nicer graphics. With a huge joystick and BIG-ass carts.
So, still a fucking weenie, and covered in a bunch of crap, is what they are saying. Arrogant and even demeaning to themselves and the readers. Terrible ad. It does everything an ad shouldn't.
However, many Neo Geo owners do kind of have this attitude, heh heh. Bastards.

I've had the avatar from atleast 6 months pry more.
Anywho yeah since I've started collecting for the system I have noticed an elitest community involved with it. But its no worse then what you find with Xbpx or PS2 owners. No matter what system there will allways be someone who think that this is the best system and everyone else is wrong.
