First off, take into account that I'm not really the best of hardware guys. I know enough to put stuff together (I think) but when it comes to some of the finer points of the detailed specs I'm sure I'm missing something. Anyway, I was messing around on Newegg.com today. Tell me what's wrong with this or if you all have some recommendations for better parts. Am trying to build a decent gaming rig, but I don't need 'teh uber-1337 stuff'. Just enough to keep me in fresh games and emulation for a while...at least 2 years before I HAVE to upgrade. Also, remember that I'm not a crank the max settings guy. I don't mind dropping my resolution down a smidge or changing a few features to get a game to run correctly.

Here we go in no particular order...and I think I got all the links right. Total price is about $1800-1900. Any cheaper but just as good component suggestions are appreciated:

I think the MoBo comes with the SATA and IDE cables that I need. I figured I'd be off a little bit for odds and ends though. Some better thermal paste, a floppy drive, maybe a light kit and window kit...etc etc.

Thoughts? Suggestions? OMG you are stupid for Xxxxx piece of equipment comments? LOL

Thanks.
