I have two.
First, I believe that I am the worst Pac-Man player of all time. There's just something in my brain that wasn't built for outsmarting those ghosts and getting every last one of those little pellets. I stink at it.
I also stink at Burgertime. I don't think I've ever gotten past level 2. If baffles me how people are so good at this game. You have to run over the ingredients several times and make several burgers... and I always end up having to use my pepper early.
So yeah, Pac-Man and Burgertime for me.
I'm good at a lot of other old games though, like Donkey Kong, Asteroids, etc, so it's not like I'm totally pathetic. But I want to know what old games you stunk at.

Pac Man too.
I don't like Pac Man. I can't play Pac Man. That game has always made me nervous. Maybe it's because I'm a little claustrophobic and you can't escape from the maze.

Pac-Man. On a really good day, I might get to the 4th or 5th board. Though I'm pretty decent on a speed hacked machine. I can usually get a 6-digit score on those.
I guess I'll just stick to Amidar. Heh.

Yay. Whenever I play Pacman, I get paranoid, thinking those ghost bitches are going to get me. When I collect those little dots, and get trapped in the corner, and 2 of them come at me from both sides, that sucks. You feel violated. :deadhorse:

Burgertime is hard though, I've never beat it :/
Defender! QIX <------- The upper levels are brutal!
Quarter munchers are desigh'd to be hard though, that's how they made their $$$ back in the day and there's soo many.
Overall I'd say I was never really good at Q*Bert and Marble madness, it was sure cool to watch others rip these's games up on a quarter :-P

I was never any good at Donkey Kong Jr.
I could never make it past the second stage (the one you have to unlock DK's cage by pushing up the keys).

I'm good at Defender, Robotron, Joust, Pacman, DK.. all the big ones EXCEPT.
I suck at Asteroids. Yes, the arcade vector version. I've played it so much ever since the 70's and I still can't get the hang of it. I've even seen players who could flip the score back in the day and that doesn't help me much. I just can't find the skill for it and to this day I struggle to reach 10,000 (the score you need for your 1st extra life) LOL Asteroids damn you!

Try Ms. Pac-Man - it's easier. You can make the ghosts follow you like little ducklings.
I suck at games that I never owned on my Atari - like Robotron. If I had the game then I had plenty of practice & can beat it. But if it's new then I'm all thumbs.

Sinistar. On a good day, I can get to level 4. Still one of my all time favorites though.

Astroids, Defender/Stargate, Pheonix. Games that had no Joystick. I was 6 when I played Space Invaders. I sucked at a whole bunch of games until roughly I was roughly 9/10 when I got hooked on DK3 and Galaga 3.
My folks were very against us (my sister and I) playing video games, so no practice. That softened up when my parents split up for a while and I spent hours in the local arcade with my friends. Yes I wasted my youth.

Defender. Man that game is hard. Luckily I can always play the VCS version to make myself feel better :)

I dunno why, but I find it hard to believe so many people here are bad pac-man players...
Something about that just seems so - weird.... I used to suck when I was a kid, but over the years I got mildly better.
Today, if I don't make it to the first apple, I wanna kick the crap out of my machine.

Try Ms. Pac-Man - it's easier. You can make the ghosts follow you like little ducklings.
You're neglecting the fact that attempting that technique is hopeless if you suck at the game in the first place. Ha ha. And yes, I'm really not much better at Ms. Pac-Man, unless it's speed hacked. And don't even mention Jr. Pac-Man. Heh.
Strangely enough, my favorite arcade Pac-Man game is Pac-Land.

Dig-Dug and Asteroids =/
I think I'm always in too much of a rush for dig-dug, and I just cant get used to the drunken sailer physics of Asteroids. I like watching other people play them though :)

I suck at most pre-1984 arcade games, except for Galaga.
Yes, I suck even at my beloved Defender.

I completely suck at Defender. I'm pretty good with Qix on the Gameboy, but I'm completely hopeless in the arcades.
I rock at Galaga, but I can't play Galaxian to save my life. Also, though I'm pretty good at the NES version of DK Jr, I've never actually completed a full 4-stage loop in the arcade version. I've never even seen the electricity level in an arcade because I've never been able to stay alive that long. I don't know why.

I postiively blow at Defender. Actually I suck at all pre-`84 Williams games although I'm starting to get the hang of Robotron.
Also anything with a trackball: Missile Command, Centipede, Football etc., although I excel at their 2600 joystick-driven counterparts. The trackball is just one controller I've never been able to master. My brother is always nagging me to put a trackball on my MAME cab and my response usually involves half-hearted mumbling.... :embarrassed:
