Do the SNES Jr. have 4.5mm security screws or does it have starscrews ? There are some pirate consoles that looks very original, but they have starscrews. Was wondering if the original SNES Jr. also have this.

You mean the mini SNES? I'm not sure what it has, but I finally bought one off of ebay a little while ago.
I too would like to know what kind of screws it uses.

I'll look when I get home today. I never owned a snes1.
my parents were tightwads about videogames so it was all i could do to get them to let me buy a previous gen console cuz they were cheap, I blame my fanatical obsession for videogames on them. @_@

Mine does not have starscrews, that much I'm sure of. I've never seen one of the 4.5mm security screws, so I'm only able to guess that's what's in there.

JESUS! is that really your significant other? I was inspired to go find some more pics of her on the internet until i saw your signature.
Congrats on dang fine lookin lady.
and... the SNES model#2 does use the basic secruity screws that the model #1 uses.

Every Nintendo console system from the top loading NES to the Gamecube uses the 4.5" security screws. Every licensed, post-1988 Nintendo cartridge (except Gameboy Advance) uses 3.8" security screws. Every Nintendo handheld from the first Gameboys and official Gameboy Advance cartridges uses the tri-wing screws.

The punchline you're missing is the "significant other" part.
