Great timing, Snider....I picked up the XBox version of this yesterday. :)

The games seem perfectly emulated in most games, with only slight changes in sounds on some game.

You can use either the pad or stick to move your person.

And the games also have close ups of the machines and hints and tips as well as instructions you can read in the menu before playing the game.

I never heard of half these games....must be a lot of Japanese only games. :)

I know we've had a conversation on this somewhere - it's tough to find these things with the search feature down, though.

Anyways, it's a great compilation. I bought it on the first of November and I still play it often.

Yep! Bought it the day it came out.

It's great having a console version of Zoo Keeper. And Ninja Kids is great for an Engrish laugh.

This collection is excellent. I can only pray that other companies follow this
"classics" trend and Taito themselves follow up with Volume 2. Capcom Classics Vol. 1 is great as well. For those of you already playing these games on emulators, PLEASE purchase these discs (I mean, it's basically a BUCK a game, come on!) and show these fine companies that it is worthwhile to market and sell products like these!

I have it as well. Alot of great classics on here. Though they could've added Arkanoid, Sky Shark and Qix and possibly some of the NES games like Little Samson. Oh well, maybe on Volume 2 if there is one.

My review of it is on the front page of PDF's site, http://www.thelogbook.com .

Here's (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70307&highlight=) the original Taito Legends thread.

I thought it was a great collection. Definately worth picking up.
