View Full Version : IDENTIFY the Famicom game: YuYuHakusho & Dragon Ball Z F

I'd really like to know more about this cart please. YuYu Hakusho & Dragon Ball Z are the two games on it I believe if I'm right. I know 2 different games doesn't always mean its a pirate but does anyone know if this is prate or licensed? The games btw are some of the best fighters I've found for Famicom. Here is the picture

Never heard of those two games being put together in one Famicom cart.
If it is a pirate, they did a commendable job on the label.

There's none of the usual information that indicates an official release on the label, so it definitely looks like a pirate cart to me. And since the text is all kanji, I'm guessing a Chinese pirate.

no, but the other texts are Dragon Ball Z FIGHT and look closely, below it is just a copy of the blue Kanji that's across the top.

did you sell it on ebay? Could be that it actually is the exact same cart, and it used to be yours. LOL

its a pirate cart.
what makes it interesting is they are hacked versions of the "bar code battler" games.
instaed of needing to swipe barcodes, you can just press select to choose preset barcode charecters.

Yes the YYH game is awesome and there's special moves that aren't exactly clear so every once in a while you can preform some special stunt by accident. Yhe music is also nice. And the life meter isn't simply a bar, but you get like 50,438 life points or some odd number depending on who is picked, so the battles can last pretty long, which is good. The characters aren't just a graphic change of the same abilities, each character is different, size, strength, speed, jump. The fighting isn't easy so it's not sadly simple and there's 2 player vs. I think, cpu, and tournament. DBZ is as impressive, some of the characters fly. And it might be three games, because I think there are two DBZ games actually.

Haha no. I don't have an ebay account just yet. My mom threw away all the NES games (along with pirate carts) a few years back and that pirate cart was one of them. Maybe someone found it and sold it on ebay lol.
