Some of you may have dreamed of games that do not exist. Well, I''ve had dreams like those.

Awhile back, I had a dream about A game for the PSP that has 47 From Hitman, Burnout 3 Syle driving (And crashes), And 47 was a doctor. doctor. (The coverart was wierd, too)

I probably had more dreams of games that don't exist, but i can't think of them ATM.

How about you? Have you dreamed of games that do not exist?

Edit: Just so people won't reply to this topic the wrong way, I mean dreaming while sleeping, Not wanting to see a game to come out that never will.

Dead or Alive Vs Tekken. Ever since Itagaki-san said "Tekken is shit" i've wanted to see there battle. Besides that would be the big fighter on X verus the Big fighter on the PS2.

I'm still waiting for them to put Sonic into a Smash Brothers game. Everyone wants to see Mario vs. Sonic.

Hell, it'll never happen, but I want to see Bonk in there too. Mario vs. Sonic vs. Bonk. That's my dream game.

I've always thought a traditional turn-based Castlevania rpg would be cool. Pretty different I know but cool for a change from the mediocre 3d games and the 2d games which are very good but are starting to all feel too similar.

I'd also like to see namco do a Splatterhouse 4. It would be similar to the older ones in style but have more Metroid/SotN type exploring.

I dream about GTA online all the time(mainly because I'm always playing GTA:SA on my Xbox before I go to sleep I think).

And once I remember dreaming aobut a version of Unreal Tournament, only it was like in my neighborhood/city and you could enter every building and stuff. @_@ It was awesome!

A new Shadowrun, but I want it done in classic RPG style (Shadowrun for the SNES or Geneis, not any of this massive-multiplayer junk). I've been foaming at the mouth for another one of these. Even imported the Japanese SegaCD version (there was rumor of undertaking a translation, so maybe I can undertand what is going on instead of just aimlessly wandering around).

I had a dream as a kid that I jumped over that little spot where you drop down to the warp pipes "in the underground level 1-2 of super mario brothers" and there was this whole other stage behind it.

The next day I ran to my friends house "I didnt have a nes" and tried it. Nope didnt work.

Awhile back, i dreamed of a game for the PSP that includes the Assassin in Hitman
His name is 47, aka "A suspicious looking bald person." Ffs.

And the fact that the assassin is a doctor. (The coverart was wierd, too)
Sounds like Doctor McNinja!!

For my part...yes, I've dreamt of some games, but it's not that much. During periods when I'm collecting/eBaying a lot I'm likely to have dreams where I magically find rare items, actually LOL

NES Castlevania IV. Keep in mind, I had this dream a year or so before the SNES was released in the U.S. (right around the time CV3 was released), and I don't believe any info about SCV4 had made it into the mags yet.

Ed Oscuro

That's interesting, because I've heard that somebody found a source where one of the developers for Super CV IV said they started work for the game on the NES as they didn't have a Super Famicom devkit at the start of development.

Yes, yes, most certainly.

1. My most vivid video game dream was of an Activision game for the Atari 2600 called "Hoke 'N Poke". You were a chicken in a chicken house--the environment was 3-D, and looked very similar to the playfield of Apollo's Racquetball, but with appropriate brown colors. Of your character, you only saw the backside, and the object was to poke a big hole in the back wall of the chicken house while bugs and worms came at you from the sides, and you would have to jump on them to squish them. When you finished poking the circle in the back wall, it would pop out, you did a sommersault out of the hole, and ran toward the next chicken coop and did it all again, only harder with each stage. I dreamed this all the way back in the summer of 1982 or '83, and I still think it would make a good homebrew--maybe even for the Colecovision.

2. Another game I dreamed during the same period of time also involved a chicken (merely a coincidence; I wasn't obsessed with poultry) and it was called "Corn". It was a laser disk game, and the background was real video footage of a fast moving trip through a cornfield. The chicken that you controlled looked exactly like the cartoon chicken from the box of "Freeway" for the Atari 2600--and you only saw the side view, even though you were moving forward. You basically had to avoid the corn. I'm pretty sure the inspiration for this (which my subconscious processed) was a combination of the arcade game Mach 3 and the speeder chase through the Forest of Endor scene from Return of the Jedi.

3. I also remember dreaming of a game called "Pitfall 3: Pitfall Paranoia!" which was a more advanced successor to Pitfall 2, and the only thing I remember about it (this was around 1984-5) was that it involved conveyor belts.

4. I dreamed (mid-late 80s) I found a secret level in some type of Super Mario game on a kiosk in a store, and it had wonderful music. I still do remember it and still think it would make great bonus music.

Most of my video game dreams involve my walking into a Kaybee-like store (a la the great crash of 1984) with a wad of cash and finding tons of Atari 2600 games I'd never seen before.

I dreamed this morning that a friend showed me this DS and let me play it. Something of a land based macross where you had a ship that could jump around and fight and blow stuff up or you could use it as an f-zero type ship and zoom around while shooting at stuff and getting powerups. It was fun whilke it lasted.

Recently I had a dream that my cousin threw away hi's old GBASP (I don't even know if he has a GBA!) Because he bought a new one at KMart. This new SP had a screen in the shapes of a TRIANGLE. I took hi's old GBASP That he threw into a box at KMart. And later, It turned into a DS. Then I found out that my DS was stolen.

It is fairly common for me to dream about finding a pile of games that do not really exist. For example, I'll walk into a Gamestop and they'll have a pile of 2600 games. I think "hmm, what are 2600 games doing in a Gamestop". Then I check the titles...Bushido Blade, Tempest 2, Natural Born Killers, etc. I think "These games aren't in the DP guide! They must be worth a fortune!" I pick them up and take them to the register, then something bad happens, like my arms fall off, or I have scraps of newspaper in my wallet instead of money, or I can't ask to purchase the games because I have no voice, etc. When I wake up I feel like an idiot...how could I have not known I was dreaming?

I write to you today because I just had one of these dreams last night, although not about a non-existing game, but rather a catalog. It's Thanksgiving dinner. Aunt Betsy has a box full of Atari catalogs for me. I go through the box and find all the usuals...except... a Ford Motors catalog. That's right, unbeknownst to me, Ford Motors produced VCS games. I don't remember what games were in there, just the front cover that was all black, except for the Ford logo. Then in walks Joe Santulli! I tell Joe I just found a catalog I never saw before. Joe takes one look at it and yells "FUCK YEAH!!!" How embarassing! My entire family is seated for Thanksgiving dinner and here's Joe screaming a curse, and then he proceeds to show everyone at the table the catalog and explain its significance. And they're just like...okay. So what?

The part about the arm, talk about an understatement, though I had a dream like that the other day. The rest of this paragraph had me laughing though.

Back in the 64 days I had a dream that I had three sequels to Super Mario 64, and in SM64 4, Mario and Luigi got really fat and try to save an old folk's home. Yeah, it was odd.

I also remember being on DP once all day while working on a school assignment, and when I went to bed I had a dream I found a prototype of a Bubsy Sega Saturn game and I was like 'Holy shit! This must be like, an R5.'

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that I was in our local game store, and they had this boxed display unopened. I opened it, and it was all of these brand new sealed SNES games that i've "heard of before, but never seen" there was the famous Super Mario RPG 2 and 3, Mario Numbers 4, Super Mario World 3, 4, and 5, Super Mario Bros. 4, and various other games that I "had always wanted".

One time, I dreamed I was looking at an old, 70's-looking game-system called the RS-86. It was small, looked like a cassete player, and had a cheap metal stand. It's controller was shaped like a tampon; it had a switch for a d-pad, two buttons, and no aparrent start/select feature; over-all, it seemed very uncomfortable :/. I'm not for sure if I was playing it or not, but there was a game in it that had a picture of a cheesy-looking, superheroish space man with a laser gun.

I dreamed being in a videogame a few times. The game that doesn't exist was death race 2000 in which you had to keep moving or getting eating alive by zombies. You start out in a car and run over zombies. If you run out of gas stranded, you run with a crowbar whacking the zombies over the head. If you see a motorcycle or another car you steal it. You keep driving, riding or running killing zombies for 2000 mile trek until you reach the north pole where it is too cold for zombies to live. Then you have to build a igloo and defend yourself against hostile eskimos, seals, polar bears and great white sharks. Your only weapon at that point is a sharpened zombie leg bone as makeshift spear.

I had this wierd dream last week of these tiny advanced consoles that were oldl like from the late 80's and early 90's that played killer cartoon games and they were being cleared out with games for $1 each at Kmart.

There was another system. It was a whah whah pedal with a built in shooter in it. At first I thought it was some sukky ass fmv, but it was instead just a totally realistic shooter. You raise and lower the pedal to aim and then you stomp on it to fire at these white guys and monsters in the jungle.

I know I've mentioned this before, but I once dreamt about an arcade game, cabinet and all, called Hyper Heat. It played like a cross between Mercs and River City Ransom, with some anime girl named Mindy running around a city blowing things up and buying gatling rifles and grenades from friendly shopkeepers.

I had the first Video game related dream that Ive had in a loooooooooong time last night.

It started out me walking down a street that was kinda like a busy Silent Hill location I remember that I was supposed to be shopping for a present for this girl that I used to follow around back when I was a teenager

Anyway I walk into this store - more like a flea market than a pawnshop- thats all packed with a buch of magazines, books and lots of junk but there was a large section of piled up videogames and consoles.

A lot of half assembled consoles like Dreamcasts,N64s and old Sega CDs etc. were all kinda shuved into this one display case.
The only consoles that seemed complete was a pile of about 3 PSX systems and a buncch of games that some guy was trying to sell the clerk.

The thing is I knew the clerk his name was Kenny , the same guy that works at a real life store in my area called the "party store" that sells almost nothing but alcoholic beverages- YEAH I KNOW THE PLACE WELL :embarrassed:

As I walk into the store I say something like " hey kenney whats up? got anything new and interesting for me today?"
and the guy trying to sale the old Playstation systems and games tells me hes trying to sale all those old PSX systems for $100 and I go on some rant about how there really not worth it and go through the games telling him that most of them are shit games - hey Ive been in a REAL BAD MOOD FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS LOL

After that Kenney the clerk tells me that hes waiting to get an Xbox360 in his distinctive strange accent and Im like "youll have to wait a long time for that man" and he starts getting all jumpy and excited ( like he does in real life sometimes) and starts yapping about how someone came in and sold him a 360 so I say "fuck lets see it " .
Kenney tells me OK but it doesnt work right and it "goes all fucked up and lound when I turn it on".
I tell him I wanna see it anyway that I might be able to fix it :hmm: - YEAH RIGHT LOL

OK now this is when the dream actually starts to get slightly interesting and strange -_-

Kenney tells me its in the garage so he opens this old garage door that is suddenly attached to the store and theres not much there besides a table some buckets and a large cardboard box.

We walk over to the Box and he opens it and yep theres a 360 alright .........but its very small , about half the size it is in real life.
I pick up the 360 and I ask him does it work? and other things like that , he tells me yeah but it they didnt have any cords for it other than this big block thing.
I tell him kool thats the powercord and I then turn the system on (with no cords attached lol) and the system makes this kinda lound humming noise and Im like hell thats not soo bad its not much louder than my old Dreamcast.

I then ask Kenney the clerk if they sold any games with it and he pulls out 3 or 4 games from one of the old buckets throws them on the table and walks away.

What games did he have? I remember seeing non-existent games like Kameo 3 and HALO 3 and some strange one like a hybrid racing/strategy game.

So I tell kenney " I gotta see if this thing works right and I might buy it from ya" tryring to act like I wasnt TOO interested when I was screaming inside "DUDE THESE GAMES HAVENT EVEN BEEN RELEASED YET!"

So I tell kenney that stereo cables are almost all the same so someold ones from a Saturn or one of those Playstations might work to see if it runs the games

I remember him handing me some like GIGANTIC stereo cables from an old Playstation and me trying to shove them into the back of the 360 and as I was doing this Kenney walks over and shows me a bucket half full of water and it has a new Xbox360 controller in it and I start bitching " damn Kenney you killed the controller!" -didnt see that one coming did ya? OH you did :D and I pick up the conroller out the water and it looks like a half-breed 360/Saturn anolog pad controller and I start bitching about how the controller will never work now and thats when the lame dream ended.

maybe your thinking of the Nes version by Mindscape?

my dream game would be one where you character can go on quest after quest, hundreds of hours building relationships, fighting wars etc etc. even spanning systems, like a character you play over a 10 year span, sort of like fable but on a much grander scale, with the versatility of morrowind and the plot twists of KOTOR.
