Top row, L to R: Gradius II, The Goonies, Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Grafitti (all Famicom), Assault Suits Valken (SF), Burning Force (Mega Drive)
Bottom row, L to R: Kujaku Ou 2 (Mega Drive), Gradius Deluxe Pack, Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus, Gradius Gaiden, Namco Museum Encore (all PS1)
Compared to what I had a year and a half ago, this is NOTHING. However, the "Great Crash of '04" happened and my fairly large import collection was cast to the winds, so to speak.
Eventually, I'll have it all back - and then some. This is just the beginning...

(^_^) Some nice import games im seeing from eveyones pics, very nice :D
Heres my goemon collection for your enjoyment, i think eveyone should own at least 1 goemon game its my most loved game series.
Im still way off getting a full collection as finding mint copies of goemon games, especially the 8bit famicom games is very hard as nearly every copy i have seen has had a crushed box or creased manual. I love the artwork so much that i'll do anything to find mint copes of each & every one.
Here they are.......

As just about everything I've bought in the last 14 years has been from the US/Japan, then technically it's all import ;)
And that runs to hundreds of Nintendo titles across SNES, N64, Cube and GBA. Plus there's the Japanese Vectrex games, NGPC stuff, and other bits and bobs.

Yeah I want to get into that series so badly. I played Mystical Ninja on SNES when I was little but that was only for a few minutes, so this series pretty much passed me by. I am gonna get the SFC ones someday.
Um do you even have the 8 bit Famicom and Super Famicom systems at all?

Hehe yeah i have a super famicom but i still have to get myself a cheap av famicom.
I spotted the famicom games & thought it would be better to get them first and then get the famicom later. Out of all the goemon games the famicom ones are the hardest to find in mint condition due to their age.
Lord Contaminous
11-26-2005, 05:50 PM
yeah I figured because the only Nintendo consoles I saw in your collection pictures in the Room of Doom page so far were GC and N64, it left me under the impression that you didn't have a SFC system and you just put the SFC games on display.

Contaminous - nice collection of Neo games you have there. I would love to eventually add both Last Resort and Magician Lord to my collection at some point.
Ed - still have that Garoudensetsu 3 I sold you? That was only game I have ever repurchased since I returned to the US. Didn't think I would miss it as much as I did.
Here is my collection of Japanese Neo AES games. All are originals except for Shock Troopers. While I do not have that many, I love all of them and play something on the Neo almost daily. Currently I am waiting for a Japanse conversion of Strikers 1945 Plus to arrive.

Shiet! speak for yourself. Look at that Valis III. She looks like a man! @_@
I think i need to retake my SFC picture, it doesn't look as vibrant as the others. The box hogged up the space and I couldn't get it all into snapping range so I had to stand on a chair and not even the flash could reach it, heh.

How do you resist temptation to play the unopened games? I'm going to start collecting, but I am for sure going to play the games... Yeah...those are budget releases.
Simple DS Series Vol. 4: The Block Kuzushi (the first budget game) is pretty good...its a fun arkanoid knockoff that controls well with the stylus.
Here's a link about it:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9g-77-4-49-en-15-simple%2Bds-70-xcg.html
Table Game Spirits (the second budget game) is alright...fun for short bursts. Theres a bunch of little games you can choose from (reversi, cards, another arkanoid clone, etc.) Not the best game, but good if you can get it cheap.
Heres a link for that one:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9g-49-en-15-table%2Bspirits-70-ywf.html
I think Touch Game Party (the last game in the picture) is a better pickup then Table Game Spirits.

Great taste in games. :) Plenty of TwinBee, both Dragon Spirit and Dragon Saber, and a touch of Cho Aniki, hehe, good stuff. :) I think if I had to limit myself to just a few Super Famicom games, I'd probably go with Fire Emblem and TwinBee too. I still need to get that second SFC FE (and the third, for that matter, but I'm too cheap to shell out for that one any time soon).

I've already started getting into handheld systems with my NGPC and Wonderswan, I just need WC and SC. I have Robopet Battling game for my Wonderswan, but due to the fact that it's ONLY understandable to people who read Japanese I can barely attempt to play it. I want Gunpey and Ghouls N Ghosts most for the WS.
Some sealed titles like Sapphire are gonna stay sealed forever! Imagening a value loss of 100$ is enough to kill off any temptation.
New pics of my collection btw:
not in that picture are: my limited boxes, my Neo Geo collection.

Heh, that's the first time I've seen the packaging for the Wonderswan Cho Aniki actually. How is the game? I hear it's a card-based RPG, which is definitely a strange(r) detour for the series.

Yep it's a RPG. I have not played it yet, but plan to soon. I don't know if I'll "get it" at all, but I had to buy it. :D
