Ever wanted to write for DP? Well, here's your chance. I am looking for both staff writers, and freelance writers to help expand the knowledge base.

The staff position pays 500 meseta per week. If you want to write articles freelance-style, I will offer anywhere from 100 to 500 meseta per article based on content.

If you are interested, PM me. I am looking for people to either take over particular sections of the KB, or just write various articles as needed. Please don't hesitate to let me know if this interests you.

Jibbajaba, would you consider doing something like the following: Instead of (or in addition to) hiring writers to make articles, maybe you could post "bounties". Give the parameters for the article, and post them with a Meseta reward. Someone who doens't consider himself a writer might see that a request hits home with what he knows. Maybe he would make the extra effort to help out, and since there'd be no commitment, maybe more people would contribute.

Anyway, I don't know much about how the Knowledge Base works, but it's just a thought I had. I hope the KB keeps growing.

That's actually a very good idea. Here is the only problem that I see with it. What if I post a bounty and someone submits an article that isn't good enough to be posted? Then they are going to feel ripped off...

Well, I am going to give it a shot anyway! This is a good idea.

If you were looking for anything specific, just post what topics you wanted articles on, and make a range of bounties for each one so it can be adjusted according to content if someone writes something. I'm willing to try my hand at a few articles, I just don't know what I could/should do them on.

Sweet! I love it when my ideas turn out okay.

Looking for articles to write about? Take a gander at our open questions:

Open questions is where people post the questions they have with their consoles that aren't already answered in the Knowledge Base. This is a good starting point to get your "feet wet" writing articles in the KB.

Ah, I have a question. Are writers allowed to link a forum topic or two as their answer? Maybe it should be in a small, "For further reading..." section at the bottom?

We try not to link to other URLs in the articles, simply because if the URL goes dead, the reader is left stranded. Instead, copy and paste any info from the topic that you would like to use directly into your article (but be sure to credit whoever said what in your article!).
