just wondering if anyone had any info on these. i picked up 4 of them new and unused.
they look like faux brown leather, with a brass latch that opens up to store 3 carts and manuals, the outside front has atari with the symbol in gold-coloured lettering with "a warner communications company" written in small letters underneath with gold as well, i've looked through the rarity guide but maybe i missed something, any help would be much appreciated thx.

Hmm, I don't think I remember the 3-cart ones... Did the carts lay side by side then?
I have one of the 4-cart ones -- no latch, all plastic -- and always debated trying to pick up more to hold my collection, but it struck me at the time (post-crash, early collectability days) that I probably wouldn't be able to find enough of them, so I never tried. I think though, that they would have fit shelves more readily, unless you doubled up the 3-cart ones two deep.

I had 4 of them for sale awhile ago- the are actually a 6 game folder- each of the three holders takes 2 carts. There are not really worth too much, maybe 5$ each to the right person. I sold mine to a friend for 20$ and there were about 8 common games with them.

i wondered if anyone had any info like what year, where they were sold etc. i assumed they were sold from an Atari store i seem to vaguely recall seeing them on the shelf but that was over 20 years ago. i wouldn't even think of selling them, as an Atari fan they are priceless to me, but even at 5 bucks a piece is more than i figured they'd be anyway. :)

I just found a pic of the ones I had- I'm sure they are the same. You can see the pic here:

Interesting... I don't recall these from back in the day!
Also, 8-cart... I mentioned 4-cart holders earlier, but now I'm having trouble picturing how they worked, so the ones I meant were probably the 8-cart ones. White plastic insides, tan faux-leather vinyl outside?
I really should revisit parts of my collection more often...
