last week i had my ps2 and two of my xbox systems stolen,they also got away with about 200 games .after some thinking i thought maybe i should take this as a hint that i should just buy an import system.i already have japanese versions of most of my favorite systems so it seems fair.im just looking for something so i can restart my playstation 2 collection over with.

What sort of advice (if that's what you meant) were you thinking of? You can order a Japanese PS2 from all the usual online stores, NCSX.com, Play-Asia.com, Lik-Sang...
I'd recommend NOT getting one of the new silver slimline ones, because I think it's just disgusting that Sony put out a new model of the system that is not compatible with completely legit PS2 games, including a few big titles like Tekken 5.
