Again, since this addresses BOTH classic & modern gaming, dont know where to put this...
Getting back into Activision Anthology recently, I noticed there are some short "game movies" before play starts. The characters look as if they're created w/ Legos (obviously representative of their 20+ year old graphics.)
So far I've seen Pitfall, Barnstorming, & Freeway. Pitfall & Barnstorming show up quite frequently, & I've only seen Freeway once, last time I played.
What determines which movies are shown- is it totally random? Pretty sure it has nothing to do w/ unlocking things. Shouldnt I have seen each movie equally so far? How many/what other short movies are there?

It is actually fairly easy to play these videos on a PC. Stick the disk into your DVD-ROM drive and point one of these PSS utilities (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/ps2util.html) at the appropriate files.
After I won this disc in the Mystery Game contest some time ago, I was still able to enjoy the videos this way... until I lent it to a friend who moved to Japan.

I saw it for less than $10 at either EB or GS. Used of course. I think it was like $7.99 or something.

I always thought they were random.

I imagine they come up randomly, but of course with computers it's hard to get something to be TRULY random. It's possible that there's some bug in their randomize routine that causes the one to come up less often. I'm don't recall what I saw, since I haven't played that one in a while.
Need to get this game. Is it $10 yet?
I'd say it's worth $20 if you can still find it for that.

I got it for $10 new at a Fred Meyer store last year.
I see Pitfall the most, followed by Freeway and Barnstorming.

Well if there's only three there's only so much random you can do..
That's why I was asking. I see those same 3, just wondered if there were any more. I barely ever saw Freeway, then I unlocked the commercial last week, now Ive seen it twice since...
