Of course in my sig there's a link to a fairly up-to-date collection list but I need to go back and add both Saturn and PC titles. About 2 years ago I had a site registered and was going to put my collection list and lots of info up there but haven't gotten around to it (two years!)... But currently I'm standing in the 900's with console games and add a good 100+ for PC titles.

Seriously dude, after college when I basically had to sell off my entire collection to pay the bills, I had like 8 Dreamcast games, 5 PS1 games and a dozen or so PC games...THAT'S IT. At one point, I had over 30 systems as well, most of which had the original boxes and my dumb head sold all of them instead of getting more student loans!!!:bawling:

But in all seriousness, I would say 95% of my collection is US games. Most of the imports I have are for Famicom. I have small amounts for many other systems (mostly shooters and games not released in the USA that I wanted to play from Japan) but I never had interest to collect Japanese stuff for complete collections with the exception of Famicom, which is something I am going to have to work on one of these days...

I was trying to get a guesstimate of just how many games have been released in the US/North America. If we assume he is missing a few, then we can assume it's over 11,000.

Just wanted the guesstimate to judge my own progress...seems I'm some years away from 11,000 myself...

There were only 550+ games officially released for the SEGA Genesis in North America. Neither the NES nor the SNES had a quadruple-digit library of games and the PSX didn't have a quintuple-digit library of games. There definitely weren't over half a million GB/GBC/GBA games either.

Even if you count every game released in every territory, the numbers still don't add up.

By company, the ranking of games falls in this order:
