I put my XBOX 360 system on Ebay, but for some reason, I can't find it in any search.

Here is the Ebay item number for it #8237034674

If you do a search for 8237034674, then it comes up, but if you do a search for XBOX 360 system, you can't find it. WTF????

I don't understand why this isn't showing up. I'm only doing a 24 hour auction, and this thing better show up in regular XBOX 360 searches or I'm screwed!

Anybody know why this isn't coming up in searches, and what I need to change?

Are you sure its not mispelled at all or maybe a type like " xbox360 " and not " xbox 360" ? Its almost always something minor like that.

No, the title is "Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium System - Brand NEW !!!!"

I did some searching on Ebay and it said that if your item isn't showing up in searches that sometimes it takes several hours for it to get indexed into their system or something like that. It said it can take 2 to 6 hours for it to show up. But I've never had this happen before, and I did a 24 hour auction and I really would like the damn thing to show up for people that are doing searches for the 360. Hmmm. Weird.

sometimes it takes up to an hour for it to show up in the search. This happens to me all the time, just leave it and it'll be fine. It will even show up in your "my ebay" just not in the actual listing where other people can see, it usually takes about 5 mins for it to show up, but i've had it take all the way up to an hour. its pretty sad how many people use ebay and they cant even fix little bugs like that.

It finally showed up on there. bout freaking time.

I've been checking the prices for the premium 360's on Ebay, and how much they are selling for, and they are basically going anywhere from about $600 at the lowest (with $30 shipping), up to about $850 (with $30 shipping).

So it seems that the premium package is settling in around $725 - $750.

There are other ones going much higher that have extra games and other stuff added to the deal. But it seems that if you really want a 360 you have to fork over about $725 or so plus about $30 for shipping.

$.99

Not bad. Thank goodness you're not one of those people who starts the bid off with $5,000....

Why are you selling your 360? I thought you couldn't wait for the new high def consoles.

It's all about the benjamins (one assumes).

I actually was able to get three XBOX 360 systems. I had preordered two of them, at two different GameCrazy stores..... I preordered them way back in May, when they first started preordering. I was the 5th guy at one GameCrazy, and the very first guy at another GameCrazy.

Originally, I had preordered at two different GameCrazys because I didn't know which store would actually get enough units, so I did it at both of them to increase my chances. But after time went by, I actually decided that I wanted two 360's, and that I was actually going to keep both 360 systems. It makes sense for me to have two because I have three HDTV setups that I would be hooking them two, so I could hook my two 360's up to 2 of the 3 different setups.

I got the third one from Costco, just being lucky. Reason I bought that one from Costco, is because it's a better deal. The extra wireless controller and play and charge kit and game for $479.99 was a good deal, and I got lucky and got one, even though I only waited in line for about 45 minutes total.

So, anyways, I ended up with 3 of them. My plan was to keep 2 of them, and sell 1 of them. Now, it's possible that I might sell two of them and just keep one of them, but it depends if I can get crazy cash for it or not. Right now, I have one on Ebay, but the bids aren't very high at all. I still have 3 hours left in my auction, so I'll see what happens.

Right now, I'm probably going to keep 2 of them, and just sell that one that I have on Ebay right now.

Ideally, I would just keep one 360 system, and have 3 different power plugs and HDTV component cables at my 3 different TV areas. Then I could just quickly unplug my 360 from whichever location and move it to the other location in under a minute. But Microsoft is charging $40 for the damn HDTV cable and you can't even buy the huge gigantic power brick, even if you wanted to.

What is the reserve? Isnt the retail price $399 ? Your already up to $500 :)
I would recommend you to split the text up in paragraphs. Will be easier to read and it looks better.

In my opinion reserve auctions sometimes keep people away. Unless people just have money to throw around.

It would appear that Anthony has already used his full allocation of new paragraphs by making DP threads instead :P

I typed it out in paragraphs, but it didn't show up as paragraphs, I guess I needed to put some HTML in there or something. Oh well. It went for $734 with $35 shipping. The lady paid me already via Paypal.

Only thing is, after the PayPal fee and the various Ebay fees and the shipping fees, I barely clear $700. I can live with that, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I was hoping for more. I could have sold it locally for $700 without dealing with Ebay and PayPal, but oh well.

$700 is crazy compared to what the retail price is. Congrats :)

You probably could have done better by allowing bidders with less than 5 feedback rating to bid. I think you really limited yourself there.

Also, your description has a lot of redundancy in it and I really don't see why your feedback rating is a prime reason to buy this product from you. Lots of sellers have great feedback like yourself so it really is not a distinguishing characteristic in my opinion.

Next time try focusing on the product in the desription. Your about me page is a better place to talk about your feedback rating.

Well, since the winning bidder had less than 5 feedback, I would say he probably didn't lose himself too much by putting that in the auction .. didn't seem to stop people bidding anyway. Two out of the three top bidders had less than 5.

True, but how many bidders did he lose because of the comment in his description?
