Why would someone bid on it for $799 instead of doing the BIN for $800? Are there stupid bastards out there that actually fall for this?

Anyways, if no one buys your system you might be screwed. There will be tons of systems in store by next week. So good luck selling this system for a huge profit once 360's hit the shelves again. Prices on eBay are already going down.

Microsoft tried a little scam of holding back systems from the public to create a shortage and more media exposure. It kinda worked for the first day. but now they are getting bombarded with bad media coverage. They will be unloading the stockpile of systems they have anyday now.

They are your auctions..you are right. But i can still comment on your stupidty regardless. You could of started that off at 99 cents for 3 days or 1 day on tuesday, right after you got it. You easily would of gotten over $1000.

Why wouldnt you start it at $.99? It is an XBOX 360. On launch day. How could you be worried you wouldnt get your money back. Starting it that high, many people just browsed right past it. People that would of got in bidding wars.

With items like this and in situtations like this, you have to start the auction low and let the market decide. Those first 2 or 3 days people were frantic. Those systems were going for thousands of dollars.

I know, people on here will say, "who cares, he doubled his money." Well i say he IS dumb because he could of made much more.

Second, he WAS greedy by starting the auction out over $800. There is nothing wrong with greed. Greed is how most millionaires got their riches. The system is gay anyways. 2 of the 3 friends I have that have a 360 have had continual crashing of the system. The fan boys are pissed. THe were paying call of duty or some kind of war game and then it just crashed in the middle of gameplay. They know its not the game since it happened with NFSMW and NBA06, too.
