I'm talking about factory sealed here people. May I dare ask the price as well?

Whew, can't help you much there, but I imagine a good, good amount would be shelled out for it.

I bet you could get $100 for it easily.

Oh man, don't count on it.

I wish it was that cheap.

The Saturn one sealed? I doubt it'd go for more than $100. It's the same game as Symphony of the Night but with an extra level. Looks like it's averaging $50-60 mint on eBay right now...with the occasional $80ish price. I'd bet on $100-140 for a sealed one...and not really worth it unless you're REALLY into cellophane.

I was really disappointed with how the Saturn one turned out, but Konami isn't exactally well known for churning out high quality cross platform ports. :(

I didn't even know that there was a SotN game for the Saturn. Is it exactly the same game plus some extras or is it all different?

From what I heard, you can play as 2 more characters in the beginning. One special character with a code, music sounds clearer, 2 new levels, 2 new summons, some new items such as weapons and armours.

That's about it.

Loading "hitches" at various points in the levels, graphics are muddier, new areas aren't anything special..blah blah :)

The new familiars were in the japanese playstation release as well, they were just disabled for the US release for whatever reason.

Still a great game, of course...just not worth the hype/money that it commands, especially when you can pick the playstation version up so cheaply.

And much, much worse, badly scaled graphics in spots. I've read that there's a text file hidden in the game by a development team member apologizing for the game's release in its current state...slowdown and badly scaled graphics, two of the hallmarks of a rushjob. It appears that it was.

Folks, this one ain't worth the hype. I'd also peg it about where Maxlords has, and I personally wouldn't pay more than $60 for a "like new" copy.

I'll be saving my money for Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru or a US copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, thanks!

Wow, thats hella interesting, does anybody have a translation of that letter? I just wrote a little about what I thought about the port in http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=75165

It's still a great game though

The last factory sealed copy that I saw on ebay went for somewhere between $100 - $200. I forget exactly how much it was.

I was thinking of buying the sealed Dracula X for $266. But after hearing all the faults that this game had, I don't think it's worth it at all. Besides, it's a bit too much then it should be.

Maria was added in. She and Richter were available with a code from the start. Richter also had a secret extra costume. There was also an extra area with a few new baddies and items. The wolf form of Alucard couldn't swim in water.

Think that covers most of it. I wouldn't pay more than $120 sealed, and even then, I wouldn't be playing it. I love Castlevania, but that's a damn lot. Definitely aim for a U.S. Panzer Dragoon Saga instead. Used, of course.

a code isnt needed for Richter and Maria. When you start a new game, you get the Choose a Character screen. For Richter's blue trench-coat outfit, i think it's Up & C when you select him

In the long ass hallway of the Marble Gallery, you can do the Bat Charge and just fly through the entire thing. I think in the PSX version the Bat Charge lasts only for a few seconds
