Didn't see this started yet so woohoo my first finds thread. :D I found a PS2 at Value Village for $29.99. I was shocked to find it. No controllers or cables but I tested it with my cables and it works. It's also missing the DVD drive faceplate and the cover that goes over the expansion port on the back.

NES Control Deck Manual - $.50

Alien Syndrome (Tengen, NES)
Gauntlet (Tengen, NES)
Rolling Thunder (Tengen, NES)
-all just $5.00 (with a $3.00 discount :D)

Also, I have a funny story for ya';

I went to my local game store (the one where I got the three games listed above), and just as I was about to leave, I said "hey, lance; did you know that some 5-screw Gyromite carts have FC-to-NES adapters in them?" (if you dont know what the f*ck I'm talking about, go to http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/odd/scans/adapter.html) Suddenly, I find my self in the middle of an all out "Opening-up-old-Gyromite-cartridges" fest (thank god the only people there were my friends @_@).We took-apart one, and, sure enough, there it was. I asked Lance if he would give it to me for $2. It was'nt until we discovered ANOTHER one that he accepted this offer. So, there you have it; I just got something to the equivelant of a $250 Honey Bee converter, for two, stinkin' bucks (and I even kept the now empty case!!!). All I need to do now is find some Famicom games ;)

Oh, and I also got my new Issue of Gamepro :)

Not games but an awesome find.

Stopped in Big Lots today, I to my surprise their closing(I heard that Big Lots is shutting down 100+ stores, so hurry and go) and EVERYTHING(and I mean everything) was 20% off. The place was packed full of people, most I ever saw there. Since they don't sell video games I always check out their toys. I found some AWESOME SD Gundam mini action figures with moveable head+hands. After the 20% off they were $1.59 each which 5 figures per pack. Theres six different sets and I had a though time finding all of them. Well worth it though, their some(if not my) of my favorite action figures I own. Highly detailed and everything, I love them. If a had a digital camera I'd show you pics but I don't. So take my word for it, these are some awesome mini action figures.

Dude I think the "R3" written on the tag refers to the controllers and hookups. Usually for systems they keep cables separate and you have to ask someone to get them from the back. You should call them and check.

Nope the VV near me uses x2 x3 or whatever for more than 1 part. All the electronics have the R3 code.but other stores could be different. :)

Not to derail the topic or anything, but could you make your question more clear? It seems like your asking "Why say '$250' when you could say '$250.00'?" (answer: typing in three digits is just more fast for me than typing in five.), but I just want to make sure...

If i could get $250 for each of my 2 converters i'd sell them instantly. Sadly, i'd probably be lucky to get $5 for both.

Only mildly impressive:

Guilty Gear - R7. Disc is in average condition, manual has a bit of damage on the back (snagged in jewel case damage, some of you may know how much that sucks). Case not cracked, but the sticker needs to go. Goo Gone is a wonderful thing. 8-)

The place: some local game trading dive in Cookeville, TN. Found while visiting my grandmother.

The damage: $5.

Philosoma (PS)- $2

It's been like a desert for classic finds. Only things I did find were:

Metroid Prime w/MP 2 Echoes demo (complete): $5.25
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (complete): $11.25

Acquired by trading in Far Cry: Echoes at Blockbuster and getting back a buck shy of what I paid at Target.

(oh, I'll be putting up an apology to MP fans in the modern board shortly. Right now I've got to prepare for the metric tonnage of crow I'm going to be eating).
