She's my sister actually. She was inspired by watching the "Counter Strike" girls play in tournaments, and wanted to give it a try. Normaly she hates FPS.

I decided to skip CS for now since that would be to realistic for a person who has never picked up a FPS, and I'm not going to get her into Quake 3/4 just yet, because she has fully devolped her twitch skill yet. So I decided her first FPS will be Halo, and told her to site down, and play the game on easy mode. A big reason why I choose Halo is because of the sheild aspect of the gameplay.

Yesterday I watched her struggle gettign used to the control. She could barely walk and shoot at the same time. I woke up with morning and heard gun fire. I look at my computer and there she is dodging shooting, flanking etc, and I was happy to the fact that she cought on very fast.

So I'm kinda proud my lil sis is playing ;)

Heh, my sister has always loved FPSes. We used to fight over who got to play Duke Nukem 3D. Now she's into Doom 3. Though it's not the same thing, she's a HUGE House of the Dead fan, and wishes to buy an Xbox for the third one.

I have a friend who initially sucked total ass at Halo 2. Now she's one of the best players I know at the game, simply by playing it enough.

That's really all it takes, is the willingness to put in the time to get good. Male or female.

dude, my sister is still amazed i can talk to people via the ehad set on xbox live, let alone the fact that i can talk, walk and own at the same time. i did however get her into halo. she sucks but whatever she still trys to kill me but it never happens
