View Full Version : nintendo world store... exclusive stuff?

i've got a friend heading up to NYC later this week, and that's probably the closest i'll ever get to the nintendo world store. he asked if i wanted him to pick anything up for me, but i'm lost... what does the store offer that you can't find other places? anything?
i know when they first opened, they had a nifty little stylus/pen thing, but i've heard that they stopped carrying that. and they had the japanese nintendogs plushes back when nintendogs first came out. do they still carry those? i know they don't have the USB connector. and they will carry electroplankton, but it's not out yet.
so... what cool things does the nintendo store carry right now that i couldn't get at any old gamestop?

Well they used to carry the Pokemon Box as well but I'd be surprised if they still had any of those left. If they do nab it because it goes for big bucks on ebay.

I would have him ask a salesperson straight up if they have any exclusive items. I would guess that they would know of some as it might help sell a few extra.
Electroplankton will be sold their exclusively I believe. It may be sold online too but it won't make an appearance at Gamestop.

I didn't say it was rare. I did say it was being sold online. But it won't be sold at Gamestop as in the physical stores. It will be sold at the NWS though.

When did this happen? I would've sworn you could still get this from nintendo.com (you can't, I just checked). People are paying $175 for this? I'm stunned. This just became the most expensive game I own. Take that you overpriced SNES RPG's!

I had no idea it was going for so much either. I was lucky enough to get one several months ago on eBay for about $25. Believe me, I'm counting my blessings!
This one went for $152.50, and the box is smashed. :/
