Animal Crossing DS - pre order specials? ANYTHING?

I'm getting this game for me and my wife for xmas. Wouldn't mind pre-ordering, but I'm not finding it anywhere online with any pre-order goodies, or even free shipping. I even tried putting it with the rest of my ebgames stuff and a used game I needed to get free shipping, and that doesn't work since it's a pre-order it ships separately.

Any good things online, or am I doomed to driving 35 minutes to my nearest game store to pick it up when it comes out?

I don't think there will be any specials, since they know the game will sell quite good.

I've not seen anything and I looked for a while. I broke down and just pre-oredered one from EB (who tends to get a little more Nintendo promo stuff than the rest) and if something shows it shows

I won't pre-order unless I'm getting something out of it though, otherwise I'll just pick it up in store, and I only go "in store" once every week or 2, and even that's just to a target, although best buy is next door.

The joys of NH, you have to plan your trip to a common store a week in advance.

You may still want to preorder the game for the simple fact that it will be hard to find on launch day. Or in your case, just order it online.

All of our initial copies of Mario Kart were preordered out, and our second shipment sold through within 2 days. (Though we are still sitting on heaps of our third shipment).

Animal Crossing will be a system seller....

I think people are overestimating animal crossing's popularity honestly. WE all know how great it was, but the general populous that shops at walmart couldn't give a damn.

I just picked up the Gamecube version but I have not sat down and tried it.
