I thought Virtua fighter 5 was to be a PS3 game?

Is Killzone 2 a completely seperate game from KillzonePS3 or what?

Hmm... Sega Rally 2006 is on there with TBA 2006. But we already know the date it's going to be released in Japan (1/12, or thereabouts). Could this be a sign of an impending US release, too? In any case, I've already got the Japanese version preordered. Heh.

Virtua Fighter 5 is almost certain to appear on the next-gen consoles. It's too much of a visual powerhouse to pass up, especially when these overpriced machines need all the help they can get.

You know what that is right? It's the next Ace Combat game but it's based off the events that took place 10 years before Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War, with the united Osea and Yuktobania forces fighting against Belka. So it'd be about Bartlett, Pops, the 8492nd squadron, etc. First time an Ace Combat game will be based of the story of the previous installment - of which AC5 had an EXCELLENT story and the best CG cutscenes and US voice acting of any game - period. :D Although, should just be AC6, the numbering scheme is screwed up as it is...

Here (http://ps2.ign.com/objects/698/698332.html) is the game profile on IGN. Looks like Killzone 2 is going to a PS2 near you soon.

IGN also announced back at the start of 2004 that AM2 was beginning to work on VF5. That gives it almost two years in devolopment. Here's hoping. :-P

Hell Im playing through RE4 on PS2 RIGHT NOW and luvin every minute of it Really is an INCREDIBLE port that surprised me in the best way.
Not to bash or flame but GC owners are really missing out on the kick ass "seperate ways" mission it explains a LOT about what is going on behind the scenes in the main game and it has lots of big baddy WESKER dialog that is not to miss for any RE fan.

Also I remember reading that Sega had started Virtua Fighter 5 a while back and was in development for the PS2 wich I think would be kool since I dont think of ANY OF THE CURRENT GEN SYSTEMS AS INFERIOR they all have their strong points that has been proved time and time again with the AAA games on PS2,GC and Xbox 1.

It does look like they will have Killzone 2 on PS2 and a the PS3 Killzone im sure will be built ground up for the PS3 and thats fine with me :D

Im kinda hyped about the Snake Plissken game from Namco and especially Front Mission 5 @_@ oh yeah!and Rygar 2?

All I gotta say is that I hope that these games turn out to be the real deal.

Comparing the RE4 port to a possible VF5 port is deceiving. Also, the RE4 port wasn't perfect but close. If they port VF5 from Lindbergh to PS2 it won't come close. This is not up for debate. Look up the specs for both systems, look at the VF5 arcade pics.

Again Sabre, i'm not trying to belittle current gen systems. When I say the PS2 would have an inferior port it doesn't mean the game at its core would be bad, it just wouldn't be close to perfect graphically. Not even close. Don't doubt that.

On a side note, i picked this up for cheap a few weeks ago. Some store had marked the Eyetoy:Chat starters edition down to EUR 25,- For that i got the 'game' (or whatever you call it), a network card and an Eyetoy USB camera. Weird thing is that they also sold a loose Eyetoy:Chat for EUR 20,- and the network adapter and USB camera still cost EUR 35,- each over here :D

No, I just don't see it. Konami's kart racer was good, but the steering felt too stiff, and the game itself lacked for ideas beyond the basic "let's clone Mario Kart." I think the GBA Mario Kart is absolutely terrific, and seemed to perfectly bridge the gap between the SNES and N64 versions. Hmm...in that regard, it could turn off purists. If I knew others with a DS, I'd definitely track down an old copy of MKSC.

Still, there isn't much inspiration in this genre. Nobody's coming up with any ideas, besides piling mascots into little racing karts. And some of the more recent entries - the Shrek racer, the Muppets racer, the Crash racer on the GBA - are just awful. I don't think most developers know how to make a really good racing game anymore. Perhaps that's just me.

In an interview with 1UP.com, Peter Moore said that there is no plans for a Xbox 360 conversion of Virtua Fighter 5, and the DQVIII developer Level 5 does not have any plans to develop for Xbox 360, although they still have a relationship with the company.

Not here, so it must be PAL only at the moment. Remember EyeToy is a 'baby' of SCEE so they get all of the games first and they filter out to Japan and the US afterwords.

I'm sorry for sounding like a cheap ass(which I am), but I really don't want to waste all that cash on the "next gen" systems. Atleast not until I see something really impressive.
