how hard is it to find TRS-80 games? And how much would some of those games go for?

They're impossible to find outside of the online world. But regardless of where you find them, they're dirt cheap. Not too many fans out there to create any sort of demand I guess.

I'll go with close to impossible - I've found them on a few occasions at a couple of video game stores actually. They're normally dirt cheap, but if you find a lot on Ebay a few Tandy zealots might bit it up to a high price (dammit!). I've been trying to find some too...

Maybe they're hard to find in Canada, but I come across them once in a while. Usually $1 a cart.

Ive never seen even one in 5+ years of scrounging around.
I really would love to get ahold of some; the CoCo is cool.

Heh. I think they were even hard to find back in the day. All I ever saw was pirated stuff. http://www.stack.myby.co.uk/smile_files/pirate.gif

I have found 2 CoCo carts in the wild, together with a CoCo2 at a thrift store. Only time I ever saw TRS-80 carts.

My experience is that they are hard to find, but not impossible. Not counting the ones in the garage I I've found close to 100 in the wild.

they're about as hard to find as TI-99 games i guess. i've got a collection of over 40 different titles just from flea markets. i mean yeah it wasnt the most popular system but every town had a radio shack or two selling these things for a decade or more. the great thing is they're cheap, the bad thing is nearly every game sucks.

These days, at least in my neck o' the woods, CoCo carts are getting harder and harder to find. Same thing with the computer itself. Last cartridges I saw recently was Scripsit and Color Baseball.

Don't turn up too much, more than likely low demand, I have around 60-70 carts in my collection but they are from ebay and a collector.

Ooh :-P I love new old stuff. Its pretty expensive, but hey, it would be worth it just to have one that hasnt been stored in a damp, smelly attic.

What hurts is a few months ago they only wanted $60 :) I'm guessing the demand is going up or the stock is running low.

I think it's an issue of both. I keep an eye on eBay for old Rainbow and Hot CoCo magazines and some CoCo stuff goes for high amounts.

This topic has gotten me more interested in my Coco stuff again. I really like the Cloud9 stuff - it looks cool, and it's great that someone is still making stuff for the Coco.

I'm really tempted to try out the IDE interface that they have for the Coco. Could you imagine the Coco with a hard drive?

Friend of mine used to use OS9 on the CoCo3 back in the early 90s - a full GUI, HD and more. I haven't looked too much into it but it's interesting. The CoCo3 was more powerful than it was given credit for.
