i have the option to buy this sign from an old store and likely will buy it, but ive never seen on like it. anyone else seen one before? i think its from late genesis/early saturn days. its almost 6' tall and is metal.

makes me wonder what other signs the store had?

Saturn days it looks like, the SEGA logo is sporting the Japanese Saturn font.

Also, it could have been a customized job, since there is no trademark symbol next to the SEGA logo

came from a store called video game exchange, which wasn't huge(50 stores or so)....maybe custom, i have no idea. seems a high class custom job for a smaller store like that, though.

Video Game Exchange is an excellent game store!!! :D:D:D

...anyways, could you possibly tell us how big it is, and/or what kind of material it's made-out of?

(btw, in my area, it's pronunced "Video Game X-change" :))

its almost 6' tall, about 2.5' wide. made of steel that is pretty thick, and can support itself if leaned against a wall, likely due to the sides having been bent back for strength. it looks to have been professionally made, and the yellow material is a paper that has been glued to the metal.

no information on manufacturer or anythign else.

also included in the sale: a 12" x 6" or so lucite saturn sign from a display kiosk and a playstation one press kit from may of '96. the press kit has a bunch of 'for immediate release' memos on playstation stock(it has a simulated diamond plate bar along the left side) showcasing different games, as well as listing 'current developers' and 'current publishers'. oh, and one is a list of all available first party games and all available third party games...numbering around 85-90.

bought it, no place to put it, so it rests in the hall near the bathroom. also got the playstation press kit and the saturn sign.

anyone who has seen past display purchases of mine, this came from the same guy. he needs the cash, so i buy the stuff he took during remodels at game stores. still working on him for the nintendo neon though. anyway, ive gotten this and the hanging 'tails' from him(if you havent seen that, see the link at the bottom)...cost for the signs this purchase? $100. i figured its worth it....where else can i find a 6' saturn era sign that requires no shipping?

tried to work it into the game room, but if youve seen my room on the collectors page, theres not a lot of available space...
